Had a great stay. Fun place right on the lake.

The house was beautifully remodeled. All amenities were spot on! Gorgeous kitchen & bathrooms. We loved the gas fireplace insert!

Incredible host, the most pet friendly location I have ever been. Fenced in yard the deck could also be closed. Complementary snacks, dog bowls, more towels than a target, and an incredibly comfortable bed.

We had the misfortune of being caught in a storm but Mary and family went above and beyond to help our family. We are very thankful for their kindness.

Ashley was very responsive and proactive, gave clear instructions making check-in and check-out seamless and quick. House was stocked with everything you could think of and there were helpful instructions for all amenities! Very nice and peaceful stay, made for a great girls weekend by the lake!

If you looking for a great place to stay where you can take in beautiful surroundings, then this place is it. It was very rustic and semi private. We loved this place and all it had to offer. The host were very helpful and very responsive. I would recommend 10/10 for staying here. Thank you guys for sharing your home with my daughter and I. We will be back!

very helpful host! my car broke down and they recommended a great repair shop, also so glad doordash delivered to this location! very clean and pretty. perfect for relaxing and there's a little Brooke next to the hot tub so you get nice water creek sounds to help relax.

Went for a group trip with friends and were hoping to see snow - and we did! It was a beautiful area, although those of us who drove in at night had a harder time finding the location than those of us who drove during the day. It is a switchback entrance but once you find it, it is easy to spot, and there are plenty of spots to turn around should you miss the entrance. We stayed warm throughout our trip and enjoyed local hiking and visiting local stores. Ashe County Cheese was certainly a highlight for a lot of us. We didn't have any issues, though there was a slight hiccup after the snow, and host was very responsive and we got the matter resolved quickly. Liked it so much we might return with our family next time!

Beautiful little cottage. Perfect place to stay for hiking, only a short trip to the Greyson Highlands State Park. My kids & pup loved the creek in the back yard as well!

Man, where to start. Wendy/Bob's Bridge was fantastic. I have stayed in Air Bnb's from Coast to Coast, California to the Carolinas. Wendy is the best host I have ever encountered. She truly made us feel at home and catered to our stay. Wendy and Dan went the extra mile to help us make our trip successful and I truly can't thank them enough for the hospitality. In a world full of people trying to do the minimum, we need more people that go the extra mile like Wendy!

I stayed here for three months as I was looking for a place to relocate and I absolutely loved my stay here! It is a beautiful location, where you can see the lake and so much access to many hiking trails. The Airbnb is adorable and both my dog and I felt right at home. David was an incredible host and was super proactive to seeing what I needed or ways to make my stay better. The day I came was a huge snow storm and I mentioned how my car doesn’t drive well in the snow and he came and completely cleared my parking spot. There was an also a time I had car troubles and he was able to give his trusty mechanic’s number. David went above and beyond in my stay there even offered to grab things while they were closer in town. Some things to be mindful of is the location is a on a busy road and cell service is not great in the area so if you are looking to unplug this is perfect! I would absolutely stay here again and will recommend it to all my family visiting!

We have stayed here multiple times, this place is definitely worth it and we enjoy how private it is.

I don’t even know where to start. The location is gorgeous, the cabin had everything you could need, right where you would think it would be. Adam was extremely responsive. The wildlife was active and fascinating. We used the fire pit on the last night there and just seemed magical! The queen bed is comfy, as the couch. If you can manage to come on a full moon, do it. Seeing the moon rising over the mountain across the river was a little bit like watching a miracle happen. A+ across the board. I feel so fortunate to have found this place. Thank you Adam and family. And thank you Pam, the place was spotless. We didn’t want to leave, and will be back as often as we can manage it. I can’t wait to see it through the different seasons. It is truly a special place.

The Alley House is a charming place to stay. So much so that I spent two weeks there. I am from the area but haven’t lived there for many years. It’s great to have a charming comfortable place to accommodate us while in the area visiting family. This will be my go-to for future visits.

My family and I enjoyed our stay. we hiked a portion of the Appalachian Trail into Grayson Highlands and it was really nice to come back to the cabin after a long day on the trail. the beds were comfortable and the TV was nice, although we didn't use it much. the cabin has everything you need, just make sure you remember to bring coffee! The closest restaurants and grocery stores are a little ways away from the cabin. the convenience store down the road had some stuff but only sold coffee by the cup. The property itself is gorgeous and we had plenty of space to walk our dog. we really enjoyed our time here. thank you guys for having us.

The cabin was such a beautiful space, extremely cozy but also spacious. Some friends and I went out biking on the Creeper Trail and the cabin was such a convenient spot for us all. I'd definitely book again for the next time we visit Damascus. Thank you so much! (:

Beautiful cottage in lovely setting close to everything!

This was our second stay at Buffalo Cottage and we thoroughly enjoyed it again. The view out of the sliders and deck out back is absolutely beautiful, wonderful sunsets over the mountain, cool air and it seemed like a million butterflies on the (Mimosa?) tree. We didn't use the gas grill, but it was nice to have in case we decided to grill. I didn't do any cooking, just baked a couple items for a family reunion and the kitchen has everything anyone could need. Wifi was strong/reliable. Loved the comfortable king size bed and big shower. The washer and dryer are so convenient, it meant I didn't come home with a full laundry bag., Jeff and Kathy are awesome, responsive and friendly, making us feel right at home and SO welcome. We hope to visit again and have already recommended Buffalo Cottage to family.

Clean as a whistle ! Well stocked even had coffee and filters. I use airbnb often, they earned the rating I gave them. My second stay here we have family in the area.

Donna’s place was great! We stayed for a few nights and it was amazing! Very peaceful and quiet area, house was very clean and easy to get into and she was very responsive and accommodating with every question we had and any change in our arrival. Definitely a great place to stay!

We enjoyed Jesse’s farm so much! It brought back memories of my grandparents house. I wish we’d had more time to spend. The house was clean and stocked well, and Jesse communicated very well. This place is well off the beaten path and is on an actual farm with cows and goats. If you don’t mind the animals (which we loved) then you will have a wonderful relaxed stay! Would love to visit again and spend some time enjoying the river.

We went down to Tennessee to take donations to flood victims. When we realize that we could not get into our hotel, Mark was very responsive and let us book the same night! We were very thankful.
