Un endroit charmant, chaleureux et paisible. Parfait pour un moment en compagnie de ceux qu’on aime. Nous avons profité des couleurs de l’automne en famille et n’aurions pu trouver un meilleur endroit où séjourner dans la région. L’hôte est attentionné et très réactif. Nous avons eu une légère coupure d’électricité qui a duré moins de 30 minutes et en quelques minutes quelqu’un est venu nous donner un gallon d’eau potable et nous assister en cas de besoin. Du jamais vu !! Je recommande fortement !!! 5/5 👌

The beautiful Chalet Lac Simon is righ on the water with views from all levels and the hottub. Plenty of comfortable sleeping space and very well set up for families and those wishing to cook & eat in. If ever we're coming through that area again, I will definitely be contacting Mathieu!!!

I would recommend it to anyone who wants a nice quiet stay hot tub was relaxing and the separate cabin was a plus for couples looking to get away.

The place is great. About 20-25 minutes from New Liskeard, which has everything you need, including great restaurant, 28 on the Lake. The view from the cottage/veranda is beautiful. Cottage has its own boat ramp, which worked well for us. The hot tub was amazing, we really used it a lot. The sauna also worked well. Cottage was clean and everything worked. And, finally, Katrin was extremely fast with her responses and her answers were always helpful.

Incredible place, in great location…lake, nature, plenty of activities. Host very easy to communicate with and very friendly. I would book again!

We had a wonderful week at Domaine and Jasmin's vacation house. It was comfortable, had everything we needed, and we felt very welcome. We enjoyed walks to the lake and watching the sunsets, the stars at night, and the local birds. Nearby there was some very nice hiking and we also enjoyed Rouyn-Noranda and what the area had to offer. I would return again and the biggest problem was that the week went by too quickly! :)

Great spot, beautiful cottage in a beautiful area. No complaints, would book again. Booking was a little confusing as it ran through the company and airbnb. But it makes sense as the cottage is apart of a larger family business. Very helpful staff and extremely accommodating.

Very nice place

This is the 5th year we have rented Stefano's cottage. I am hard-pressed to find anything negative to say. The cottage is spectacularly beautiful, inside and out. The architecture is decidedly modern, but clearly fits in the surroundings of trees and the lake. Inside it is very cozy with neutral colours and great for either relaxing with a book and a coffee (or a bottle of wine!), a games night or an outdoor BBQ after a swim, a paddle or a hike. It is superbly quiet and a perfect place to get away from it all, yet keep the creature comforts, grocer a short drive; walking trails nearby, lakes are everywhere and the autumn leaves are nothing short of spectacular. Stefano is very accommodating in terms of providing information or answering questions, if any. We love the place so much I am hesitating to give it such a good review for fear of lots of people discovering it - I want to keep it my own hidden gem. But Stefano deserves an excellent review. Thank you Stefano, as always.

Our stay at Darren & Nadene’s cottage was fantastic. Nadene's muffins were the best ever! The place was clean, cozy, and a short walk to Deer Lake. Highly recommended for a big group of families and friends!

Wow - we had an amazing experience on the Island. Ray is a great host, so helpful from the moment you book and all the way through our stay. He picks you up from the dock, and takes you to his beautiful little island with a great, clean and well kept cottage. The island is a special place, interesting to explore - great to swim, kayak, canoe, paddle board. The cottage is very clean, the kitchen has nearly everything you could want, bathrooms are pristine. Ray will take great care of you during your stay - we were so impressed. We will be back - thank you Ray!

Bowhey’s is such a special place. All the amenities, clean cabins, staff is always busy working on something to make it even more beautiful. Ian is so great and laid back. Saturday night karaoke should not be missed! We will definitely be back.

We booked under the general listing (Having not realized that there were more specific ones) so Dan was kind enough to choose a cottage based on what he believed would be appropriate for the temperatures and time of year. And when we met down in the driveway upon arrival, he was immediately very friendly and we had a great conversation, and he directed us up to our cabin which was an excellent choice, beautiful view of the lake, nice amount of shade, beautiful inside (looked like it had recently had some updates as well), very clean, and very well-appointed - full amenities, very comfortable space…more like a home than a cottage. Had a lovely conversation with Pam while we were checking out. We greatly enjoyed our experience and hope to return next year!

Ian is a great host very friendly and professional. Amenities are well kept from the swimming pool to the fish cleaning hut, you can buy even premium gas for your boat and enjoy a Saturday evening karaoke. Definitely we will come back again.

What a little slice of heaven! Highly recommend Bowhey's particularly for families. Among the best features: The wraps (totally creative), the access to the dock, the pool (very large pool) and karaoke night (so much fun!). For just a week, I was able to have my son experience life like I did in the 80s and 90s. He met new friends, played games in the pool and outside and just enjoyed a simpler pace. If this is what you're looking for, Bowhey's is for you!

My first time experiencing cottage life. Ian and his family are good hosts. My children loved Ian. This resort felt very safe. The people that were there were very kind and friendly. it was not overwhelming, it was just right. You do have to bring your own pillows and linen. My suggestion, bring a fan. keep you cool at night. There is hot water. Karaoke night was a lot of fun. no judgement. Ian has a big variety of music. If you are coming from the GTA, you are looking at about 5 to 6 hours of travel time depending on traffic. We didn't get to do the trails because our kids wanted to swim in the pool all day. However, there are trails around the area. Canoeing was a lot of fun and the paddle boards were a challenge but a lot of fun too. There is fire wood present for you to use if you want to make a bonfire. There is a convenience store down the street. They sell essential groceries, beer, liquor, first aid and hot food. Some of his cabins have a really good view of the lake.

My family and I had a nice cozy experience staying on Ian's yacht. We relished the lake views, the dock, the stars, and the sunset, as well as the opportunity to cast our fishing line directly off the bow.

My 5-year-old daughter and I were on a road trip and we booked this very last minute. it was definitely the highlight of the trip and wish we would have stayed a couple of extra days. the water was beautiful in the evening with the sunset.

Ian's place is as described. His boat is clean, and the resort is well organized. He is one of the few hosts that is actually on-site, to help with anything needed; he is also very accommodating and easy-going. I didn't think there was actually going to be a karaoke night, as it had been described in the other reviews, but there was one. The whole area is conducive to a relaxed state of mind. my son and I enjoyed staying here and will very likely come back for some good fishing. Yes, we caught fish too, which was a plus.
