Jacqui is one of the friendliest AirBnB-Hosts I ever stayed with and made me feel at home the second I walked into her home. Bed and room were super clean and cozy. Can only recommend staying there! As it’s a little bit outside of the city in a lovely and calm neighborhood I’d recommend having a car or (like I did) hiring a bike

It was an absolute pleasure to stay at Honor’s place — we were so lucky to find it and it answered everything that we needed. The house was immaculate and beautiful settled in a wonderful garden and less than a minute to the river and we couldn’t have had a nicer time with the perfect hosts.

We were warmly greeted by Ann, her daughter and sweet pets. After a brief tour we left for Taupo and had dinner. Upon our return we had a nice exchange about New Zealand and current events. In the morning we went for a lovely garden tour and walk along the river which was directly behind Ann’s home. We also toured her other space called the lavender room which was self contained and private and modernized. We thought it would have been a better alternative and preferred for us. We had a much restful stay at Yvonne’s. The bed was so comfy - I slept like a baby after a day hike and the bathroom was spotless. The breakfast next morning was such a treat. It was a big breakfast and so carefully curated. Yvonne is such a warm and a lovely host. Now I have a home to stay in Taupo! Not booking elsewhere. 🥰

When we arrived, Raewyn and Fraser were there and welcomed us. We got a tour of our large room, our spacious and super clean bathroom, the living room and kitchen / dining area. We got offered some drinks and nibbles and had a very nice chat. Fraser and Raewyn pointed out where to go for dinner so we followed their advice. During our stay there the evenings went by so fast over food, wine and very interesting conversations with Raewyn and Fraser. They even took us out on the lake in their boat! It was such a great time. Thank you so much!

Lovely property, just as described. Tidy and non cluttered. Great indoor, outdoor flow with a beautiful view across the lake to the West. Comfy beds and clean bathrooms and kitchen. Short walk to a great little restaurant bar. Easy to find and get inside.

Pour ma 3eme nuit j’ai changé de chambre : pour celle-ci toujours très agréable avec une très grande salle de bain partagée avec une autre chambre : la chambre donnait également sur le superbe jardin, toujours le petit salon avec bouilloire, micro-ondes, petit frigo, café et thé à disposition.. Peu importe la chambre que vous choisirez, elles sont toutes parfaites.. 👍

非常温馨有爱又漂亮的房子。到达门口时Jenny就出来帮我们指示停车位置了，一位温柔又和蔼的大妈，非常仔细的给我们介绍房屋的设施，淋浴间干净整洁，洗浴用品也齐全。大妈仔细询问我们是否需要热水茶水，还提供了可供选择的早餐（是我们住过这边唯一提供早餐的民宿）。因为我们要一早离开，所以特意早起，为我们准备了水果麦片还有咖啡，美味营养又可口，让我印象特别深刻。 房子出来步行4分钟有一家可以窗边欣赏美丽湖景的餐厅，非常方便。 强烈推荐给想住陶波湖附近的游客。

We had such memorable stay at Mary’s. Easy to find and so close to the lake. Beautifully decorated and so comfortable if felt like home. Mary gave us some great tips for local attractions and left us extra special treats just to make us feel welcome! Could not recommend highly enough.

I didn't stay here personally but my best friend did. She said it was amazing. Clean, tidy, great location. She said Jane went above and beyond. I spoke back n forth with Jane when booking the air bnb and she was super helpful.

Nothing will prepare you for how beautiful this luxurious suite is. If tranquility is high on your list, then this is definitely the right choice. Jane and Mark are so very kind. They made so many wonderful suggestions for places to visit and restaurants. The morning breakfast is beyond perfect. Fresh fruit, yogurt and home made bread made us feel so spoiled. It’s a wonder that Jane is not a professional baker. The bread, cookies and cakes she makes are the best we have ever had. The apartment suite is very clean and very well appointed. The bed and linen are very clean and plush. Taking a short walk leads you to the lake or view the lake from the porch outside the bedroom. The Māori rock carvings are right around the edge of the property, easily accessible by a short swim. Step out onto the deck and see the emerald lake by day and the universe of stars by night. All I can say is we will definitely be returning and planning to stay longer. 10 out of 10 super luxury accommodation.

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful home ….. our hosts Marki and Chris were just wonderful and everything about the space and the surroundings was top notch. The furnishings, decor, attention to detail, lovely treats and overall vibe of the home was very special …. Walking distance to the most beautiful little bay, surrounded by nature was awesome. Would thoroughly recommend!!!

We really rated the attention to every detail at the Cool Down Room. Beautiful garden, clean, well thought out, dog friendly and lovely hosts. We felt at home and relaxed. Really close to Wairakei hot pools (my favourite). Close enough to Taupō while still being a peaceful life style block. Ticked all the boxes for us, really recommend this as a place to stay 🙂

This was my first time staying at Karen's home, and I was struck by how clean, comfortable, and warm it felt. Whenever we had a small question, we could easily reach Karen by phone, and she was always there to support us. She clearly puts a lot of heart into running this homestay, bringing a sense of warmth to her guests. This was the first time I truly felt a sense of "home" while staying at a homestay. Thank you to Karen and her family.

Barb and Mike are amazing hosts and we had a lovely and comfortable stay at Tongariro Adventures. The national park is only a short drive away. The waterfront is a few steps away and there are amazing trails around the area. Barb and Mike’s place exceeded our expectations and their hospitality made us feel very welcome. Also, top marks for the amazing breakfast!!

Perfect stay in impeccable accomodation, Tony was very welcoming and his house is perfect and functional with good facilities. Tony offered us an amazing breakfast and prepared scrambled eggs for us, thank you again for this welcome. I recommend Tony's accomodation.

I love this place; both Gary & Penny's sweeeet home and beautiful Taupo! Though weather wasn't good, warm hospitality made my honeymoon the best of best; Room was clean with dedicated bathroom & bedroom, a wonderfull shared spaces with everything. Surely it's better option to take Gary & Penny's home rather than other hotels nearby Taupo downtown. Wish all the best to Gary & Penny!!😍❤️👍👍👍

I stayed here with a friend before completing the Tongariro Crossing and it was a wonderful experience. I would recommend to anyone; it was comfortable and clean and our every need was met. (Even making our sandwiches ready for the crossing the next day!). The breakfast was delicious and Mary was a friendly and helpful host. Can’t wait to stay again, thank you!
