I have been visiting Duck since 1983 and have stayed at many houses over the years. This is our second year in a row at the house and we will be back next year! Everything you need is there - the "little" things that some other homes don't have; like sandwich baggies, tinfoil, hand soap, dishwasher detergent, paper towels, etc. The house is perfectly located - a quick walk or bike ride to the ocean or the same right in to the middle of Duck. The hot tub is AMAZING and probably my family's favorite part. Beds are comfortable, everything functions well and the house is clean and well-organized. Plenty of nice extras provided as well - bikes, beach gear, lots of beach chairs, umbrellas, a wagon to transport it all. We just love it here, thank you for sharing your home!

Great place! Centrally located, quiet neighborhood and amazing hosts.

Kate’s place was perfect for our family’s first trip to Norfolk! The beach is literally less than a 5 minute walk away. Her home is adorable and her neighbors are the sweetest people! My kids loved their little dog. We felt very comfortable in the house — very nice neighborhood and the home had everything we needed! We were very close to downtown as well. We will definitely be coming back if we make it back to Norfolk! Thank you Kate!

This was a wonderful location with personal touches and thoughtful planning. The kitchen and bathroom were stocked, yard was perfect for our dog and beds were clean and comfortable. Our dog loved the beach which was a quick walk away. Brian was responsive on the two occasions I had to reach him. The home was close to Little Creek base which was convenient to see our son. Parking was terrific and the home is on a street that is not too busy. The only negative that I’d have is that (as a middle aged woman who sleeps HOT) we were unable to adjust the home’s temperature below 68. Ceiling fans and oscillating fans were available which was helpful. Overall would recommend this home and its host and will likely be back in the future!

This place was a great spot, it was a great neighborhood with lots of restaurants within walks bf distance which was great!! We would book again in a heartbeat!

Pablo's home was just the family getaway we needed! It was super clean, extremely comfortable and centrally located to a lot of different activities and sights that we truly enjoyed even in "off season ". Pablo was very helpful and responded quickly. We hope to visit again soon! Thank you for sharing your wonderful home where we were able to create even more happy family memories!

Responsive even before I booked. As pictured. Accommodated 5 of us very comfortably. Friends stayed one half block up I liked our place much better!

We loved our stay at Camelot! The house was very comfortable for 6 adult women, with plenty of bathrooms/showers/beds. Having to bring our own linen was a bit inconvenient, but Roger the on-island connect was very responsive. The house itself is gorgeous with comfortable and spacious rooms. The porches are simply divine, though the views from the porches are less than scenic. The lot behind the house is either a dump or a construction site. However, the screened in porch was still incredibly delightful and we loved our little island escape. Would definitely stay again!

It was nice to get to, and my trip was good. Unfortunately the day before I twisted my knee while packing for the trip, and was limping a bit. I was so hapoy to have happened to book on the first floor. There were 4 steps up to the front door and I was parked a bit far away, which I corrected when I was able, but when I arrived, some kind neighbors helped me with my bags up the steps. It was super peaceful and within a few days my knee was better. This was close to my Norfolk event, and it was really awesome to have a quick trip after some late parties. There was not much noise ever and the neighborhood was so sleepy we were surprised to find an event had blocked off and rerouted a few streets. It wasn't difficult to get around as there were lots of alternatives. Next time I hope to get on the ferry....with no injured knee. :) Great job from my host.

We came across the Mermaid Cottage last minute on a quick getaway and it was the perfect spot to stay for us! Very eclectically decorated and a few steps away from the ocean 🌊. Also has a very nice, private porch with nice furniture for lounging. Jenni was an excellent and responsive host, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique and cozy place when visiting Avon, NC.

We found the apartment to be very comfortable, neat and tidy. We liked the location and the fact that it was away from the noise and traffic of the main road. The apartment fit our needs perfectly. We would certainly come back and stay here on a return visit to the Outer Banks.

Nice and Cozy. Description was accurate. Could tell the area was properly cleaned. Host was responsive whenever needed. Definitely Recommend.

Clean and spacious, there were a few issues with the television's smart cast, but overall it was a great stay.

We had a great time. Very nice place. Much better than a hotel. The host was extremely helpful. This was the first Airbnb for us and we would do this again. We enjoyed the area and it helped to have a tremendous place to stay.

Wir haben uns super wohl gefühlt. Es ist eine super schöne helle Wohnung. Der Balkon mit seinem Ausblick ist einfach traumhaft und wir haben jeden Morgen und Abend dort genossen. Eddie und seine Familie sind sehr hilfsbereit und stellen einem Kajak und Fahrräder zur Verfügung. Wirklich toll! Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit! Vielen Dank!

Our stay at Pam's place was fantastic. We love the beach and it was so nice to have the balcony, as well as both bedroom windows facing the ocean. The location was perfect. The space itself was very clean and larger than expected. Everything was outstanding

Condo was in a great convenient location. Very spacious. We did a lot of sight seeing so didn’t spend a whole lot of time on site but it accommodated all of our needs!

LOVED our stay here, we were in town visiting a family member that is stationed in the area. Place was easy to find and had so much to do in the area. The home was so adorable I loved the Blue touches all over with the beachy theme. Everything was a described. We had one small concert and Samantha jumped into action to make sure it was taken care of and was great with following up to make sure we were happy with the resolution. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!!!

Nicole was great! The place was great! Everything was so clean & neat! We had a little hiccup with someone parking in the spot we were assigned, I had no clue what to do all I could think was “we’re going to get towed if we park in another spot”. I messaged Nicole on the app & let her know what was going on & she immediately called my phone & took care of everything! Luckily the person parked somewhere else before my husband got back.

We enjoyed staying at Kelly's place in VB. Its an ideal location for anyone who wants to stay right at the boardwalk. We witnessed amazing sunrises and moonrises. The ocean was right in front of us and from the 6th floor, the view was expansive. A lot of restaurants were also nearby. Kelly was always very communicative, polite and professional. The apartment was clean with the kitchen well stocked with utensils The bedrooms were of a pretty large size. And parking was on the premises. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and holiday for us. We strongly recommend Kelly's place.

Beautiful, cozy space within walking distance of the beach and many great restaurants. Made our weekend all the better, having a nice place to stay!

This location can't be beat! An easy walk to the oceanfront boardwalk - surrounded by bars, restaurants, shopping and stores - we had an absolutely wonderful long weekend. The accommodations were great - super comfy beds and a modern, well stocked kitchen, plenty of towels/linens, great climate control - just an ideal place to stay! Will absolutely book again next time we're in the area.
