Hike (or snow shoe) on or off property with miles of marked trails. Stay in this authentic log cabin attached, but private from, the main home on the ranch. Mountain Cabin on McKirdy Creek Farm in Valemount

Enjoy the feeling of backwoods seclusion in our cozy, rustic mountain cabin. Only a 500m walk from the farmhouse, this private cabin is nestled at the edge of the forest overlooking the fields of the Canoe Valley. It backs onto the Rocky Mountains and has views of the Monashee and Caribou Mountain ranges. This is a walk-in cabin, so you will need to be prepared to carry what you need in. Kitchen supplies and bedding are provided. There is no running water and the bathroom is a pit toilet.

Watch our friendly Highland cattle graze from the yurt deck. Wake to birdsong and fall asleep beneath the stars through the skylight. An elevated off-grid experience with the luxuries of solar power, a kitchenette, hot water, flushing toilet, and fireplace for year-round comfort.

Raven’s Nest Cabin-tucked away in the trees

Totally disconnect at the Raven’s Nest a back to basics rustic tiny cabin tucked away in the trees. The cabin is close to the main residence but completely private with a private gated entrance and free parking a short walk to the cabin. The cabin is heated by a small wood stove and an oil heater, has a small kitchen area and a loft with a queen bed. Please note there is no running water and the bathroom is an outhouse a short walk away. There is no cell service or wifi at the cabin.

Beautiful rustic off-grid straw bale cabin surrounded by unspoiled nature and working ranch lands, located between Calgary and Canmore. Running water May-Oct, wood stove and old-fashioned outhouse. Cozy and simple with all the comforts you need. We lived in this little cabin with two toddlers for over a year while we built our house and it has everything you need to be comfortable. It is magical in the winter. Fun fact: A full length feature film was recently filmed here!
