We had an incredible experience staying at Billy's property! From the moment we arrived, Billy was an outstanding host, making sure everything was perfectly in place and ready for our arrival. The house was spacious and easily accommodated all 6 of us with plenty of room to spare. One of the highlights of our stay was being greeted with freshly baked blueberry muffins – a thoughtful and delicious touch that made us feel right at home. The house had all the amenities we needed, making it feel just like our own home. We particularly enjoyed the private access to the property and the hot tub, which was a great way to unwind after a day of exploring. We had a lovely few days here. The place was very clean and we felt right at home. The garden is enclosed and there were even treats for the dog and a crate already here. The place looks so adorable both inside and out it was a gorgeous place to be. We relaxed at the cottage on one day, explored the neighbouring coast, and took the train to Edinburgh. Perfect Easter break.

Great location, around the corner from the Metro. Exceeded expectation as haven't used air BnB before. Hosts were helpful. A lovely place, highly recomend!

We had a lovely stay. Chris and Georgie made checkin very easy, proactively providing directions, details of checkin and key collection. The house is exactly as described and was very homely. Going the extra mile, it was lovely to turn up to plenty of essentials - tea, coffee, fresh milk, biscuits and more than one toilet roll! The area itself is beautiful, and the house was central for visits in the surrounding area, which was all just gorgeous! Thank you for a lovely weekend

What a gem of a place! The listing was exactly what was in the tin! The hosts are top-notch and have put a lot of thought and effort into their property and guests' expectations. A well thought out welcome pack for both humans and dogs. There are 7 different areas of seating around the property and grounds all with fabulous views and so you can watch the wide variety of wildlife. When we say the place was clean, it was spotless including the hot tub. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and user friendly. Plenty of books, DVD's, games, puzzles, maps and toiletries. Well recommended.

Beautiful, spacious and homely lodge in lovely surroundings. The welcome pack was delightful. We used the lodge as a base to travel across the border, to visit Holly Island, Bamburgh, Seahouses, Alnwick and more. The hot tub was a welcome treat when we arrived back each evening - clean, well maintained and checked daily. Great communication with the host Vickie with clear arrival instructions. Thank you

Great lodge in a convenient location. The lodge was well equipped with everything we needed, bedding and hand towels provided were lovely and clean. Self check in was really easy with instructions provided before arrival. Thank you for an enjoyable stay!

Follions is a great large house for a family/friends get together. Lots of space inside and out and plenty of stuff in the kitchen to cook up a feast for everyone. There was a slight issue with the heating when we arrived but Richard answered our call straight away and talked us through getting it fixed and after that the house was lovely and warm the rest of the weekend. Great selection of games and dvds too!

We had a very relaxing stay in this well proportioned property. The outlook was beautiful and the inside was exceptionally well maintained, with lots of amenities. The power shower was great and the conservatory and patio brought the outside in, as we had exceptionally good weather for the duration of our stay. The location was perfect for exploring Bamburgh, Seahouses, Alnwick, Amble and Berwick-upon-Tweed. Thank you to Ian and Sharon who made us feel very welcome and a scruffle for Willow.

Absolutely gorgeous cottage, lovely friendly lady met us as we arrived. Very peaceful pretty location. Felt like home from home. Every possible thing you could need is thought of. Gorgeous baking left for us and homemade jam little lovely extras. Just perfect

The iron chapel is a wonderful place to stay, full of character, and a lovely place to spend time with family. Lisa and Michael were great hosts, very quick to reply to any queries we had. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend the iron chapel. Andy & Sarah.

Fantastic location, underfloor heating lovely. Happy overall. It’s a shame the local pubs/inns didn’t provide food on a nightly basis. Lovely food when available. Hope and Anchor does good food at a cost!!!!! Sun Inn great and very welcoming.

We’ve just returned home from a fabulous 3 night stay ( myself, husband, adult relative and small dog) We loved the location.. so peaceful. Lovely home, spotlessly clean, warm, comfortable and well equipped. Thank you for the welcome pack too. We visit regularly and hope to stay here again x

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we felt at home from the day we arrived. The cottage was perfect for our extended stay (a month) and we will fondly remember our time in the cottage, Frosterley and the Weardale and North Pennines area. Our hosts were very friendly, laid back and made us feel wonderfully relaxed during our stay. The cottage was warm, comfortable and well appointed and ideal for our needs. We would definitely recommend River View Cottage and the other accommodation in the courtyard to family and friends and we would definitely consider returning in the future for another break.

How was your host Nathalie is an attentive host, phone call on arrival as we’d got a little lost! Explained all facilities and gave us tips for days out & eating out recommendations. Perfect host. How clean was lodge Despite the smell of dog when we first entered the lodge, once we got inside & unpacked everything was clean & tidy. Plenty of cleaning products should we have needed them (we had brought our own just in case) Both bathrooms were clean smelt fresh. Facilities WiFi was a lovely addition, perfect for me to play on social media uploading my photos from each day. Lovely furniture with plenty of space to relax inside & on the deck. View of lake was stunning. Everything you need in kitchen & throughout the lodge from books, games, video games. Everything has been thought of. Thankfully the gas bottle held out. I did find this part a bit stressful. Understandably, Nathalie is concerned at the cost of gas bottles & fair usage of it. Perfect stay! We have loved it. Thank you

This is a lovely place to stay, in a quiet part of the countryside. Shared amenities, including games room, gym and pool, are excellent. The cottage itself is spacious and comfortable, with all the essentials we needed for our holiday.

Fabulous little cottage. It's in a great area for nearby attractions. The Cottage itself is so pretty and contains everything you'd need. The games room, the pool and the chickens are an added bonus. We had a lovely stay.

I had a really great stay at Norma's place. Very spacious and the location is ideal, just a short walk from the village. Great for access to Kielder forest. Would recommend and would like to stay again when in the area.

We had an amazing stay at the Orchard hideaway - it is in beautiful, rural and peaceful surroundings, and is exactly like the photos. It is private, warm and very clean, the hot tub is great and well maintained, and the host has thought of everything to make it a comfortable relaxing stay. We would love to come back and 100% recommend!
