Cosy 2-Bedroom Cottage With Breathtaking Views

The Rookery

This 400 year old coach house was built around the turn of the 1600's. It has quirky uneven walls, beams made from sailing ships that travelled the world, and a pretty courtyard garden. There's no kitchen, but is a dining room with mini fridge, microwave kettle, crockery, cutlery and tea making things and a large container for you to leave your dishes out for me. *DOGS* Please keep dogs off the bed and furniture because I find the dog hairs just spread over everything in the washing machine.

We have excellent walking and cycling from site. The Pennine way is a field away, two disused railway lines, Lambley viaduct and riverside walks. A perfect base for experiencing the beauty of the surrounding countryside, from every direction Alston is approached over a broad, heather clad Pennine Landscape. Alston has a steep cobbled main street with a distinctive market cross, and many stone buildings dating from the 17th century.
