Every step of the way - John was a a great communicator, making sure we had all the information we needed for our visit and the surrounding area. His cozy get away, is surrounded by beautiful nature, very private and yet only 10 minutes from the town of Annapolis Royal with all the amenities. The open fireplace, with lots of DRY wood and kindling was a bonus as the weather was stormy during our visit. John also checked in with us a few times to make sure we could get in and out of the driveway during the storm. 2 lovely balconies would be perfect in the summer for sitting out and looking into the trees - and which we were able to use this trip for barbequeing in the snow storm:) Very dog friendly as located off the main road and km of trails right out the door for walking off leash or snowshoeing. Would absolutely return at any time of year!

Alexander's place far exceeded our expectations in terms of the surroundings! It was an exquisitely beautiful setting, with the leaves turning colors, and a peaceful lake in the background. Our family had been experiencing a tragedy, and this place was a perfect house to process together, reconnect, grieve, and strengthen bonds with extended family. The house is GORGEOUS and fit us 5 and our doggo perfectly. We loved the gorgeous lake and all the outdoor amenities for swimming, fishing, and paddling supplies. The beds were so comfy and the house was clean! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a holiday in nature with all the comforts and luxuries!

I have been thinking what I would include in this review since we stepped foot on Ginny’s beautiful property. None of what I’ve thought about saying scratch the surface of how amazing the property is. The photos don’t do it justice! The property is in amazing condition and well appointed with comfortable linens and furniture. We particularly appreciated the abundant supply of dark towels to help with washing everything from sticky fingers to removing mascara. Ginny has thought of everything you could possibly need, want or need before we did. Everything you might need or want on a whim has been thoughtfully provided by Ginny. Oh, and on the topic of Ginny… a better host has never existed! They’re so thoughtful, proactive and kind. Thank you for such a lovely and relaxing stay. Our only regret is not spending more time at your lovely property.

Absolutely perfect in every way! Penny’s beautiful cottage was a true paradise for our family and we will cherish the memories we made there forever. From the moment we arrived, we could feel the love and care Penny has put into every detail of this incredible retreat. The cottage itself is delightful — impeccably clean, cozy, and thoughtfully designed for comfort and enjoyment. It’s stocked with everything you could possibly need (and then some!) for a fabulous stay. And there are so many fun things to do! We were truly blown away by the amazing home, property and especially the host. Penny’s welcoming, communication, hospitality and kindness are like nothing we have ever experienced. We are beyond grateful for the opportunity to stay at this slice of heaven and cannot wait to return! Thank you Penny for creating such a wonderful and special place — we already miss it!

We felt lucky to find a place so close to the beautiful Kejimkujik National Park!! The yard is huge and beautiful with a lovely walk down to the lake. Comfortable beds, nice hot water, easy to control the temperature in the house. Only negatives; upstairs bathroom only has a tub, kayaks need some work.

We had the best time. The two rooms upstairs were a bit cold only issue.

The location was so beautiful and quiet! The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of seating inside and outside. The one amenity that we missed was a dryer but the portable washer worked well. The host was very communicative and we felt like we get got a great bargain. Even though I came from the west coast, I got up at sunrise each morning and it was memorable!

It was a lovely little place. Had everything you would ever want.

The place was surrounded by beautiful nature and right in front of the lake. The host provided kayak, fishing rods that we could enjoy at the lake side. A beautiful place for stargazing too. We had a great time together as a family. The host was very responsive to our questions during our stay.

Great location for getting away from everyday life. multiple lodgings if ever you want to rent as a family unit. the water access and equipment is a bonus!

A lovely large cabin in a beautiful setting, perfect for our annual family get together. Even though it was the end of September, our 10 year old spent several hours each day swimming in the lake and using the many watercraft options (paddle boat, kayaks, paddle board, canoe, etc). Mornings were spent sitting at the end of the dock with a coffee in hand watching the sun rise, and evenings were spent sitting around the cozy firepit. This place is serenity at its finest, and we can't wait to book again.

Our stay was peaceful and relaxing. The cottage met all of our expectations and more. John was a pleasure to communicate with, and we are happy we got to stay in this wonderful cottage, it’s a hidden gem.

we were pleasantly surprised at how clean and well thought out the place was. The furniture was comfy (second bed was very creaky) and the Woodstove was the perfect touch.

Christian's place was perfect. I have nothing negative to say about the place. It was private, peaceful and had everything you need including condiments/spices and a fully equipped kitchen. The space was perfect for 4 of us as it was spacious and had a functional layout. Christian and his co-host were very responsive and laid back. Felt like we were staying at the family cottage; no worries and felt right at home. Thank you!

We were very pleased with our stay at the cottage! It was exactly how it was described, and the lake/view was breathtaking! We stayed for 4 nights with our daughter and we were all sad to be leaving on our last day. The cottage was fully stocked with everything needed, including everything for outside (firewood, boats, beach towels, etc.). Jill was great to deal with - provided great instructions, information about the area, and responsive! Overall, great experience!

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful, secluded cottage. We were looking for a peaceful retreat, and this place was exactly what we needed. The cottage, though small, is incredibly cozy, homey, and equipped with everything you could possibly need. The serene setting in the middle of the woods offered the perfect escape to unwind and relax. We can’t wait to return to this gem of a cottage! Highly recommended for anyone seeking tranquility and a well-appointed, charming retreat.

If you looking for a cozy place to stay - it is perfect choice! Ideal if you want to escape out of city for a weekend! Cottage was very warm and cozy, I felt that it was filled with love! Becky left all instructions and made sure we can reach with any questions. We had a wonderful weekend! Definitely recommend!

Such a cute little cabin in a beautiful location. Only stayed for a night and during a very chilly time of year, but would love to come back when it’s warmer!
