Weavers Cottage is a detached 17th century stone built barn at the head of the Ullswater valley in the central Lakes. The views are stunning with panoramic views of lakeland fells and over Brotherswater. The place is pet friendly and perfect for guests who love the outdoors. Classic walks straight from the door and secure storage available for mountain bikes and canoes. After a day in the fells, toast your toes by the wood burning stove or enjoy the sunshine in the private south facing garden.

This is a warm and comfortable 2 bedroomed house sleeping 3/4. 20 minute walk to centre of Keswick with lots of walks and cycle rides straight from the door. It is just a few minutes from the old railway cycle path. Storage available for bikes. There is a spacious lounge, dining kitchen double bedroom with uk king bed and bathroom. Beautifully renovated cottage in the heart of a thriving yet peaceful village on the edge of the Lake District, close to the northern fells. Within walking distance of a village pub, shop, cafes and gift shop. Caldbeck is situated on the fifth and final section of the Cumbria Way. The cottage is perfect for walkers and non-walkers as there is plenty to do around the area. If you are bringing your dog, please make sure you include them in your booking as there is a charge to bring a pet.

Our cottage is nestled in the picturesque village of Portinscale and is a short 5 minute walk into Keswick. Portinscale is perfectly situated for any outdoor activity. Derwentwater Marina is a short 2 minute walk away, the local fells are easily accessible from the front door and the cycling (both trail and road) are world class. There is a superb cafe situated 100 yards from the cottage and a local village pub. The cosy cottage is the perfect base for a fantastic holiday.
