communication before and during our trip was excellent. Our host went above and beyond for us..not only was homemade sodabread, Jam and the basic necessities available we arrived to Easter buns too. one of our children had a yearning for mango pepsi which he'd tasted before in NI and several trips and phonecalls by our host were made to try find him a can! we arrived to a cosy fire lit by him and he offered many occasions to light it and got the snooker room ready for us which was a great hit with the kids. lovely space outside to play and even enjoy the Easter egg hunt. our sleeping arrangements were great...privacy for parents and plenty of space to sleep for 4 kids if the sofa bed is used. all said they slept well in comfortable beds. I would recommend staying here ..great base for Strangford lough...Newtownards and Newcastle for climbing Slieve Donard. thankyou hosts!

Situated only 40 minutes from Belfast you are quickly transported into another world, one of peace and tranquility. Here the pace of life drops a few gears. Roads turn into lanes; hedges into aviaries and nature abounds. You know you’ve left the hustle and bustle of the city. A scenic drive to Portaferry and ten minutes later we were at Flora Cottage, a delightful white-washed home, situated as close as one would dare, on the very edge of Millin Bay. It would seem, the Isle of Man is a stone’s throw away such is the view. However, it is 29 nautical miles to be exact, the Irish Sea being considerably closer, lapping gently at the bottom of the garden…literally! Flora Cottage is a delight. It’s modern, bright, comfortable, clean and well appointed. It has all the amenities you need for a short or long stay. With a view to die for, (it’s even better when the sea is raging) there’s little doubt we’ll be back for a second or third time. Our stay was quite superb.

We were a family of 4 with 2 pre-teen kids. We expected a water side retreat and I must say Janet's house is a heaven. With all the amenities needed, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Janet has ensured the house is tastefully designed according to the lake side view. What was so amazing is the welcome pack surprised us, we very delighted upon arrival. All the instructions were so clear I had no issues in operating the TV, lights, stove, heater, shower or anything. Overall excellent value for money and a memorable stay at Janet's place. Worth a visit and can't wait to return again!

We were a group of 5 friends and there was plenty of room for us all. Lovely open planned living room and kitchen with panoramic views, comfy beds and 2 bathrooms. John was extremely helpful and friendly in his response to messages. We had a wonderful night away and would definitely recommend.

We loved our stay at Elaine’s place. The bungalow was cosy, warm and comfortable. We had everything we needed to be comfortable. The bungalow has beautiful panoramic views and is situated in a quiet and private location. Perfect to sit out in the morning or evening and enjoy the sounds of the birds and feel the sun warming you as you sit with your book and a cup of tea. There was enough space outside for our two teenage boys to kick a ball around and amuse themselves each evening. There were many beautiful places to visit within easy driving distance of the cottage and a large supermarket only 5 minutes away. Elaine is friendly and very responsive if you have any questions and will not hesitate to help you quickly if you need anything. We would highly recommend staying here.

We loved our stay in Amanda’s property. It was a luxurious home away from home. It had a high end finish with everything we needed for a lovely break. All the amenities were walking distance. Amanda was always quick to respond to messages before and during our stay. We couldn’t have asked for better. Thank’s Amanda.

Amazing location and views . It was a great location for us to explore Bangor while visiting family . Great showers and spacious . The welcome wine, chocolates and fresh flowers were a lovely touch . Thoroughly recommend .
