It was a beautiful weekend gateway inside a bus while distancing yourself from daily business and emercing yourself in nature while having lots of insight to wild animal and living in the shoes of a farmer. We really enjoyed our stay and very thankful for the lovely couple who has been very kind and supportive while teaching us lots of new things. Great place to visit.

Cute cottage style stay, with a magical garden and rainforest walk. The hostess was welcoming and so was tinkers the pony!

Beautiful place with bush views. Seems very remote although it’s only a few minutes from Lorne by car. Host was extremely helpful and responsive and did everything she could to make us feel welcome.

We had a great stay at Kookaburra retreat. So peaceful and relaxing. The retreat has a rustic charm and is in a great spot for walking. Melita is a great host. Clear communication and very responsive to messages. We can’t wait to go back!

This beautiful little hideaway is hands down the best Airbnb I have stayed in. I come here a few times a year and it feels like home. Otto and Susie are so accommodating whilst allowing for complete privacy. Their space is comfortable with every thoughtful touch you could want tucked into the coastal trees. Staying at the Yellowstone Caravan was an unforgettable experience. The space was very cozy. The host was thoughtful and responsive, providing great tips on the difficult weather situation leading our concerns about our access to property due to the causeway flooding but Carolyn was able to make sure we had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. This was the perfect blend of adventure and comfort. Highly recommend to anyone visiting here who wants something a little unique and special!

The cottage was the most wonderful place to spend our long weekend with our children. Cate and Ian were lovely hosts and we truely got spoilt staying at their wonderful property. The kids loved feeding the horses daily and even got to collect some chicken eggs and see the cows! It was a peaceful picturesque weekend. I highly recommend it.

Consider us charmed! Absolutely loved our stay in Flo so much so that we extended another night. It was the perfect getaway with our dog during a heatwave. The sandy beach on the lake, just a minute walk from the accommodation was our biggest highlight - we had the beach all to ourselves over 3 days. The option of using the paddleboard and canoe was a bonus. We also loved the outdoor bath - ideal for relaxing and spotting shooting stars. This is the ideal getaway to slow down and switch off. Make sure to bring plenty of food for cook ups on the bbq. Billy the border collie was gorgeous and very friendly towards our dog. We plan to return! Gaby and Lindsay were lovely and very accommodating hosts.

So happy we booked this place, we had a fabulous time. So comfortable, private and exactly what we wanted. Everything was as described. Being able to bring the dog that was so well catered for was an extra special touch. Will definitely be recommending!

Being lovers of nature and art this was the perfect little place. Cosy caravan with beautiful outdoors kitchen and living area.

A unique and incredible stay with kids. We spent two nights at the canopy and it has everything you need plus wonderful beds and the comforts of electric blankets and hot water. There was lots of space for our dog and it felt like a safari getaway but with great quality appliances and features. One thing I would be aware of is that if you are highly sensitive to noise, the neighbouring cabin is not far away and because it’s a valley, sound travels to the point you can hear more than expected. We had perhaps unaware neighbours who were rowdy and it made our night/mornings not that peaceful. Otherwise an incredible location, accommodation and host.

This place is magical As part of the Hideout hotel, the accommodation is on a property with a handful of other bamboo houses. It is private but you are right next to the kitchen and gazebo area. You cannot hear anything from the kitchen. We were worried it would be super hot without air conditioning but it was mild as there is so much greener and the river also probably cools the area. The accommodation is beautiful Our kids slept in the bamboo room and we slept in the semi open bedroom The river is super loud at night along with the fan. Selat is a magical location. It’s so beautiful and you can absolutely slow down We met with the local Sharman and had massages in our ‘room’. We also went to sideman to do a jewellery course. Our family loved it for 2 nights but wouldn’t have wanted to stay longer as it is super quiet. The food was excellent and the staff were wonderful. Definitely stay here and explore this beautiful ‘real’ Bali

What a wonderful experience! This is a beautifully renovated caravan, lovely, clean and cosy. Everything you could think to need is included and having the caravan delivered to our camp site, set up and ready to go is the best part of this holiday!

My daughter and I had an unforgettable stay reconnecting in the surrounds of nature! Lisa's caravan was very comfortable, loved the retro vibes and great to chat to both John and Lisa's family. Highly recommended and stones throw away from Balingup and great day trips to both Donnybrook & Bridgetown! :)

Great location and great for dogs close enough to town but still peaceful and relaxing

absolutely loved our stay here! it was super easy to find with clear instructions. everything you could possibly need was catered for with breakfast provided as well as some complimentary snacks and wine! the place itself was stunning and the views were incredible as well. could not fault any aspect of this stay, it was just perfect and Carly and Andrew were as well. we wish we stayed longer!

Our Easter escape to this charming farm stay was pure magic, as it always is! What keeps me coming back is the perfect combination of being close to home while feeling completely "off the grid." I absolutely adore waking up to horses in the paddock right outside our accommodation, and feeding them the carrots provided by the thoughtful owners creates moments I treasure every time. The tranquility is unmatched - no traffic noise, just the soothing sounds of nature and beautiful wildlife all around. Despite returning multiple times, the magic hasn't diminished one bit; if anything, each visit deepens my appreciation for this special place where I can reset and reconnect with nature. It remains my favorite peaceful retreat, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

I absolutely loved my time alone in the bus. It was so peaceful and beautiful. The bus had everything I needed for my stay, and nearby Kangaroo Valley village was simply fabulous. Abby also very kindly allowed me to arrive early, even though she hadn't had the chance to prepare the bus to the standard she prefers. (She took care of this as quickly as possible, even though I'm sure it was an inconvenience for her.) I had a wonderful fire most nights, the bed was super comfortable, everything worked really well, and the vibe was divine. I really did not want to leave! Thanks Abby.

We had such a wonderful stay at the cabin in Upper Sturt! The place was well-equipped with everything we needed and had such a cozy, comfortable, and homey vibe. It truly felt like a peaceful escape from the city. One of the unexpected highlights were the chickens – they added such a charming touch to the whole experience and were a joy to watch! The grill outside was perfect for evening barbecues, and we made the most out of it. We also loved the unique outdoor-style toilet. It felt so close to nature but was still clean and comfortable – the best of both worlds! What made the stay even better was the location. It’s so close to amazing hikes and treks, which was exactly what we were looking for. Whether you’re after a relaxing getaway or an active nature adventure, this place hits the mark. Highly recommend! 🫶🏻

Great place to stay and recharge. So quiet and peaceful. Surrounds are idyllic. The outdoor bath a highlight. Watching the world wake up, from the warm bath doesn’t get much better. Even saw platypus early one morning. Highly recommend. Definitely be back.
