The cabin was perfect for staying with our two kids. The playrooms and well stocked kitchen and rooms made it easy to keep them entertained and relax in the mountains. Thank you for your hospitality!

Perfect weekend getaway! There are many great hikes and touristy things to do nearby. It was a nice place to unplug and relax!

Highly recommend this beautiful place. I took my camera and got lots of photos of Louie the super friendly big white dog, chickens, goats, wild turkeys, deer and several ponds and a shallow river. Inter tubes were included. Lots of great outdoor walking and picnic tables to enjoy the fantastic views of the mountains. I really enjoyed Trish beautiful artwork throughout the room. All I can say is I’m excited to visit again…real soon!

This house was so cozy, my children loved it!! Mary & Chris was available if we needed anything. We will definitely be using their home again!!

Lovely, well-equipped, spacious home in an idyllic location. The multi-level layout was perfect for two families- great common areas for gathering while also affording separate space and privacy.

I love staying here. The view and the renovated barns are top notch Peter and Helen have been wonderful to stay with. Make sure you ask for the homemade goat milk soap.

Wow, this is a great house and a perfect location. Right on the river where we fished, kayaked, waded (a little cold for swimming) and generally hung out on the riverbank and played nonstop for 2 days with a bunch of little kids. And then just 15 mins or less from groceries in Luray and 30-45 mins up to the 211 entrance into Shenandoah for hiking. The house was terrific and this kitchen had everything we needed for cooking all our meals. Not those crappy secondhand thrift store pots and pans that are missing lids or covered in gunk you find in a lot of places, always missing that one thing you need to make your meal. Plus little things like collanders and cheese graters. The beds were terrific and the beautiful wall of windows was the perfect compliment to the big room (plus toy room upstairs) where we spent most of our indoor time. We'd come back here in a heartbeat and would hope to find our way here this summer when we can do more swimming. Thanks!!

The space is so spacious and the friend group had a great time hanging out here. Would recommend this place! The only thing is that the trash site is kind of far (~4 min drive) so need to plan ahead before checking out

We had a great birthday weekend in April at Alyson's. When we arrived the property was very clean and check in was simple. The instructions for using the hot tub and fireplace were very clear. We had an issue at 5 am that was not anyone's fault. Alyson responded quickly and had a maintenance person out who fixed the issue promptly even on Easter Sunday. Overall I would recommend this place for it's proximity to Massanutten and its overall cleanliness and ease of use.

The home is clean and open. Game Room was a blast for the whole family. Enjoyed the hot tub after long hikes in the Shenandoah. Short and beautiful rides to Massnutten, Skyline Drive and Lauray Caverns. Shopping and good restaurants close by. Our host was kind and responsive.

Great accommodations for group trips. There are a number of in home activities; games, karaoke, hot tub, etc readily available. Proximity to Massanutten slopes was the selling point for our group of beginner skiers NOT interested in ski in/ski out options.

Dana's Chalet was wonderful. Two families with children fit well inside. The kids and adults had fun outside riding bikes, enjoying the grounds, and making s'mores. I was impressed by how well outfitted the house was. Usually there are a small amount of cookware, appliances, and essentials - the Chalet was very well stocked and the kitchen had plenty of room for preparing meals and socializing. We had a blast and did not even get to fully utilize the space. The town is small and charming and relatively close to Front Royal and Skyline Drive. We had a wonderful stay with a responsive host and a well-stocked, comfortable house. I highly recommend trying it out!
