This vintage forest cabin is perched above our pristine mountain stream, set amidst a highly diverse indigenous botanical forest wetland.The cabin is entirely private with a large deck and extensive views of both mountain peaks. Hand built by owner over a period of two years, with hardwood floors throughout, hand waxed with beeswax polish from our own hives. Guests enjoy their own private access along their secluded forest path. A vintage Nestor Martin canon style wood stove will restore you.

Storms River Tin House

Storms River Village, situated 11km from the Tsitsikamma National Park, is the adventure capital of Tsitsikamma and forms part of South Africa’s famous Garden Route. The unique self-catering Tin House is situated in the garden of a private residence with gate access and on-site parking. A stay of at least two nights is recommended, as there is so much to see and do in the area. Perfect for a couple, a small family, or close friends. Free WiFi. Charming Cottage in the Mountains

You can reach us on a 36 km stretch of scenic gravel road to come and enjoy the beauty and sounds of nature while staying in this unique off the grid place in the Kouga Baviaans mountain wilderness area. For winter the cottage is equipped with electric blankets, a gas heater as well as an indoor fireplace with a good supply of wood and more available to buy should you run out. The displayed miimum price apply to the first two guests and an additional fee per person from the 3rd guest

Cape Dutch cottage in a beautiful private garden on large 18-hectare property in Plettenberg Bay, the premier resort town in South Africa. The farm is surrounded by 1000's hectares of forest with plenty of bird and wildlife. 15kms of hiking and cycle trails direct from your doorstep. Completely self-contained and separate from the estate house. "Bird Song" private getaway, tucked away in nature

"Bird Song" is named after the host of bird calls that greet you each morning (and the night jars that you hear after dark). It is the perfect 'private bush camp' for a ‘family-of-4’ vacation or for a secluded ‘get-away-from-it-all retreat’ for couples. The architect designed timber structure is set on a slope with views through and over the fynbos and right at the edge of pristine Indigenous Forest. A wood fired fireplace ensures you are (relatively) warm in winter.

An authentic adult tree house built into the bows of a growing rooi karee adult tree (rhuslancea). The dwelling is made of a variety of SA wood varieties and shaped around the stem and branches, allowing humans to live functionally within its arms

Suikerbossie Mountain Cabin

Soak up the peace and quietness while enjoying the true beauty that nature has to offer. The cabin was completed just before the lockdown. The building of the cabin was started by my husband and completed only 2 years later in remembrance of him.
