Cannot say enough about the beauty of this space. Location is close to so many things to do: both inside & out; on the water & on land; for a variety of ages. You could stay here & enjoy the space for a week or get out & explore. House was easily shared by my parents & I, & one brother stayed for a night. Nice layout to house & yard. Simply beautiful relaxing views & comfy furniture. Helpful hosts. Beautiful screened-in porch, back deck, & also coffee on the beach. We kayaked, hiked to waterfalls, went to a show at the Big Top Chautauqua, took a Grand Tour of the Apostle Islands, walked on the ferry to see Madeline Island’s museum & met the new director who shared info about the exhibit Passages (not to be missed!), met old friends, & visited a few restaurants. Washburn’s bookstore! Fall migration has started & birds are passing along the beach. In addition to exploring Washburn, Bayfield, & Cornucopia, we drove to Duluth to visit Glensheen, Fitgar’s, & Hawk Ridge Bird Observatory.

The home was a cozy place to land in between our outdoor activities!!

We had a wonderful stay here! Very kind hosts and space was perfect for our group. Kitchen was also well outfitted with everything we needed which we appreciated. Gorgeous views as well! Would absolutely rent again!

Makala is a great host. Prompt communication and pictures were accurate! Beautiful home and landscaping! Home had everything we needed, clean, comfortable and a beautiful location! Have already booked for next year!

Paula's place was fantastic for that cottage away from home and certainly had the "homey" cottage feel. Paula's accommodations are thorough and thoughtful. It is a great location to either lay back, relax and enjoy the cottage for it's ake life amenities or it's equally great for the outdoorsy adventurer looking to experience the north woods. During our stay we choose the latter. We kayaked the Red Cliff sea caves, we hiked the Meyers Beach sea caves, we experienced Madeline Island, experienced Bayfield and also traveled to Big Manitou Falls in Pattison State Park.

Keller Cabin was the perfect getaway for peace and quiet. It wasn’t very cold so we enjoyed our hikes (Many trails to choose from). Wanted to do some snowshoeing but there was no snow. Nevertheless we enjoyed hiking and exploring. We had resident swans that visited at the cabin were the lake wasn’t frozen. Also several roughed grouse! Our springer spaniel Jaeg had a blast also. The cabin is very comfortable and well equipped with everything we could have needed. Very clean. Lots of games to play. Quick communication with owners about connection with wifi. The views are spectacular. The lake ice was booming and Jaeger was very intrigued by it :)) We definitely want to return with warmer weather and totally recommend it !!!

Absolutely loved Harvest Moon Cabin! How peaceful it was, just a comfy place to be. We saw lots of wildlife too! Bears, deer, it was so fun! The northern lights even came out for a while. I would love to come back someday! Thanks for a great stay.

Totally fell in love with this cabin! First of all, the view is amazing. Walking in it just feels so comfortable, welcoming. The kitchen is amazing and has all the basics (well labeled as to where everything is). And the gas fireplace creates such a warm ambiance. This cabin worked well for our group of 8 adults, 3 children. Sleeping options were great, beds were comfortable. I don’t think I would change a thing about this cabin! Would love to come back in the summer some time to be able to enjoy the fabulous yard. We were fortunate to not need to contact the Owner while we were there but left something at the cabin and Rachael responded immediately and is going out of her way to mail the item to us. Truly excellent service. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us. It was a pleasure 😊

We had a comfortable and wonderful stay at Christina's beautiful house! The location on the lake was lovely, and very convenient for our participation in the Birkebeiner events in Cable and Hayward. We greatly appreciated the large and well equipped kitchen for preparing meals for our group of six. The house was also well equipped for the 20 month old child in our group - with lots of fun toys in addition to a high chair, pack 'n play and other supplies. Everything was great - thank you Christina!

One of the greatest places we’ve ever stayed! We had our boat in the water at their dock the whole time. So convenient. Amazing restaurant’s on the lake… we had plans to do a day trip or two but, we didn’t want to leave where we were at. Fishing was great as well. (Caught a 24” pike right off the shore.) Loon saloon had great food and a great little store with all sorts of stuff and was so close. I highly recommend this to all! We will be back! Thank you Kirsi!

Jenny accommodated us on short notice. She was very responsive and welcoming. She greeted us with a hand-written note and even left some snacks for us to enjoy. The cabin was very roomy; the beds were comfy with clean, soft linens. The back deck overlooked the river and the large, flat yard was fun for the kids to run around. We enjoyed a bonfire and s’mores, and some peaceful time sitting in the Adirondack chairs on the dock. Wish we could have stayed longer!

The cabin was wonderful. The rooms were actually larger than they looked in the pictures. We had everything we needed for a wonderful get away. Every bedroom had a ceiling fan and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed sitting by the lake in the chairs provided and used the fire pits. We would definitely would stay here again.
