I booked Travis' place for a work weekend with colleagues, and it was easy for everyone to find from the airport, with easy check-in. We were basically able walk right in and proceed with our weekend. Everyone had their own space in the house, with wonderful main rooms to gather in. We also had many meetings outside and even down on the dock as the weather was so beautiful, and to be right on the lake gave us the setting that we were imagining when we initially booked the space. On walk-in, the space was immaculately clean, everything laid out well and the kitchen was superbly stocked. The photos of the whole house are accurate. *We shopped before arrival on our way from the airport as the grocery store is a little ways away, but Travis provided us with excellent options, and always was quick to respond to any questions. Beds all had excellent mattresses and provided each of us with great sleeps. Check out was simple, instructions clear. A fabulous weekend and will book again.

I absolutely loved the stay! Luca’s home was so beautiful and my family loved it. The home was super cozy! Me and my family had a great time. I will definitely recommend.

Betsy’s house on Smith Mountain Lake is wonderful. From the driveway it looks like a jiggly small cottage. You go inside and wow! What a surprise! 6 bedrooms on two floors, a screened in porch, a deck and wonderful dock and boathouse. We enjoyed ourselves so much here.

Beautiful location! We truly enjoyed relaxing by the lake while we visited. The home had everything you need to take advantage of the amenities offered; lifejackets for the kayaks, basketball, skewers for roasting marshmallows in the fire pit, golf cart to get up and down from the lake, dog bowls, etc. We did not need a boat for our stay but it would be a great option to rent one and be out on the water. Crista sent info before hand to make arrangements with a local rental place. The hosts were very kind and communicated easily. Great place!

This was our second stay at Kate's beautiful home and we are already planning a third. Quiet and peaceful with absolutely beautiful views of the cove and lake beyond. The house is sparkling clean and well appointed with everything you could possibly need. Even though the weather didn't cooperate we found plenty to do to keep ourselves entertained.

So Beautiful! So Peaceful! We enjoyed every second in this beautiful home, on a serene lake, surrounded by nature and love. Rachael was an amazing host. We were coming to town for a vow renewal ceremony. Rachael was responsive and super helpful when it came to logistics and flexible with the check-in, so we could get to the ceremony on time. The home was lovely and pristine! It had everything we needed to cook and have fun. The 2 decks and dock framed the lake beautifully. The kayaks were a big hit and all the board games kept us entertained. We loved our time in the home and on the lake! We would definitely book again!

Shady Oaks is located in a quaint development right on the water. It's heavily wooded with lots of shade. The neighborhood is generally quiet and there is a private road that loops down and back. The house is well maintained and features lots of outdoor space to enjoy your stay. Water access is via the dock which also features an elevated deck above the dock. The kids and I spent most of our time at the dock--enjoying the cove by either fishing or kayaking (2 come with the rental). Relaxing on the deck was also great in the evening. We brought our puppy since dogs are allowed (extra $25 per day upto 2 dogs). It was nice to have an enclosed deck off the main level for our puppy to enjoy with us. The beds were very firm memory foam, but comfy. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, utensil, gadgets, spices, and oils. The location is convenient to the state park (a must), Virginia Dare boat tour, restaurants, and shopping. Overall a good 3-day weekend stay.

Great host. Very responsive. The place was extremely well maintained and very clean. Everything worked exactly as it should from the keyless entry to Internet access. The property is located .5 miles down a gravel road, which is rustic and dusty. The area is rustic as well. The price was a little high for a manufactured home but it was a holiday weekend.

The place was really special. The view from the balcony was picturesque. I was just sorry I had to work and couldn't spend more time taking in the views. Michelle did a great job communicating with me. Everything was exactly as proposed. The place had everything I needed and then some. The bed was very comfortable and the bathrooms were very clean. Thank you again and I may be back when work calls.

Lenora is very responsive and the unit is just as she described it. The grounds around the buildings are spacious and offer a beautiful view of Smith Mountain across the lake. Great value!

Would highly recommend for a quiet, relaxing weekend. This was a repeat stay, and everything was just as nice as the last time. Quick communication with Gwendolyn was appreciated, and everything we needed was available or offered.

Staying with Mr Jane was a pleasure. The location was perfect, the apartment was cozy and spotless. The place was well-equipped and the beds were surprisingly comfortable. This is a peaceful downstairs apartment with private entry and beautiful backyard with swimming pool. Mrs Jane was always available to answer our questions. unforgettable experience! Highly recommended!" 

We love Peggy’s place. The view is wonderful, and everything well apportioned. This is our second stay and would gladly visit again.

My sister and neice and I stayed at Key To Stay's condo for 2 nights in February. I had previously stayed at that same condo in November. I originally gave this condo a great review, which is why we rented it again. This visit had a few maintenance issues, but they were eventually resolved and Key To Stay made sure to reach out to me personally to make sure we were satisfied. I do appreciate their commitment to making sure they improve the guest experience. I will definitely be staying here again after the wonderful customer service. The location is beautiful, the lake view can't be beat. The area has some great places to eat also.

If you’re looking for a quiet place with a pieceful surrounding you can’t go wrong with Dannie’s place. Hope to return in the future with my family.

We loved our short stay at this beautiful lakefront vacation home. It was quiet and peaceful, and it has a lovely scenic view of the lake as soon as you drive up. It definitely exceeded our expectations. We would gladly stay here again.

A Nautical Nook was a peaceful place to spend Labor Day Weekend with our two dogs and college-age kids. We loved the dock and used kayaks each day to paddle up the lake. Our dogs loved chasing a ball in the backyard and swimming with us at the water’s edge. The location is close to Smith Mtn Lake State Park and Mariners Landing, the latter where we ate dinner three nights, rented wave runners one afternoon to explore the larger lake, and played golf one afternoon. Robert’s kitchen had all we needed and the screened in porch was great. We didn’t have any issues during our stay but up until our visit Robert was very responsive so we imagine he would have been quick to respond had anything been needed.

W a gem! We loved everything about our stay. Best equipped kitchen we've ever stayed at (for an AirBNB), furniture and beds were all comfortable, but the best part was the outdoor seating and eating areas. We spent the majority of our time outside. We loved looking at the stars, watching the fireflies, and listening to the croak of the bullfrogs before we turned in at night.

This house was beautiful right by the lake and fit a group of 7 perfectly! We weren’t sure if we could make the trip due to incoming snow, so Robyn kept us posted with pictures of the driveway and local roads the day before and was very accommodating to flexible scheduling. Her proactive response made us comfortable with making the trip and we had the best weekend! The hot tub is very clean, along with the rest of the house, and Robyn left us wood to use for the firepit. 10/10 host!

Had such a great stay at this house. Beautiful scenery, lots of porch and outdoor space, relatively private from neighboring homes. Bedrooms and amenities were as described. Kitchen was pretty well stocked w/ cooking implements and whatnot. Elizabeth is a super responsive, friendly host that made us all feel at home. Would def go back!

We were blown away… we grew up on the lake .. and this truly made us plan on getting back asap!! Def recommend this place !!

The lake house was absolutely perfect. The house itself had everything we needed and plenty of room for our stay. The dock was great and lounging in the lake on floats was so relaxing. There is also a really cool lakeside restaurant and bar about two minutes down the road that was an added bonus. Definitely want to visit again!

This cottage is perfect for a family of 4. The location is right next to the lake with a small walk down to your private dock that already has 4 Kayaks. We did lots of fishing off the dock and off the kayaks. The back deck is perfect to start your day sitting and having some coffee and then finishing the day sipping on some wine. The cottage is very clean and very organized. It had everything we needed for our stay. The decor is very warm, cozy, and inviting. We felt like we were at home. There is a nice fire pit next to the lake that we used one of the nights. Taylor helped us with any questions such as restaurants, shops, and where to watch the sunset while having dinner. We did horseback riding at Spring Valley Farm near the cottage. We also stopped along the road to pet some cows since there’s a lot of farms and open land. Views are wonderful all around. We will definitely come back and stay for a longer time. Taylor thank you for having us in your perfect cottage !! A++++++
