Great place to explore istanbul for a few days. Communication was easy and always friendly. The street in the front of the building is busy in the morning so i would recommend to bring some earplugs. My girlfriend had no problems with the noise though. Overall a great experience. Highly recommend this place

On the booking you may see many pictures of a very modern apartment, some of the pictures show large modern areas but this is slightly misleading. The pictures are of every room available, in the building and are not a reflection of what you are booking privately entirely. This caused some confusion for me when I arrived. The apartment does have a Hamam which was so much fun! Malik is a very friendly and hospitable host. There is somebody at reception 24 hours and they are always more than happy to help you with directions. Advice and suggestions all being very fair and without bias. Our apartment faced the road on the hill which is constantly blocked with traffic even through the night cars beep at each other constantly. Light sleepers may need to bring some earplugs with them. I had to wear my earphones to block out the noise a little bit. We had trouble with the electric box making a loud humming noise on the last night which kept us awake. The bathroom has seen better days.

A very nice and cozy apartment with everything you might need. It’s close the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, the reception offers a lovely bonus—tea, coffee and small snacks. The staff is helpful and friendly. Thank you 🤗

Absolutely loved this place. The staff were incredibly helpful and gave local recommendations for things to do and a great Hamam Spa. Location was incredible, walkable to all of the main sights and the tram line. Great restaurants and cafes around. Highly recommend staying here.

Потрясающее место. Очень чистое и уютное, персонал приветлевый и вежливый. Отдельно советую пообщаться с управляющим - Эролом, ответит на все ваши вопросы и порекомендует места и рестораны для посещения (рекомендую посетить все кафе/рестораны, что он предлагает - не пожалеете). Бесплатно предоставляют хорошую сауну, есть выход на крышу с оболденным видом, есть закрытая зона в холодную погоду и открытая в тепло. Номера большие, с новой мебелью и уютным интерьером. Крайне рекомендую, остались супер положительные эмоции от посещения.

This was an excellent find. We visited from America and were a little worries about finding our way around but Yusef offered to assist in the transfer to and from the airport. The manager, Erol, and the team, Malik and Emir, were all so great. They helped us find places to experience, to eat, to avoid, and showed extreme hospitality towards us the whole time. I would absolutely recommend this place! It’s safe, staffed 24/7, and so cute and quaint in a great location! Thank you!! I sure hope we’ll be back in the future!!

We had a wonderful holiday in a unique manifold and for us (not for everyone...if you are a respectful and experienced traveller we recommend it) beautiful neighbourhood. The Old Saffron House was a blast: outside there was so much to do and see and in the evening we were happy to rest in such a beautifully renewed ottoman oasis. the apartment was as clean as seen in the pictures. it was warm enough for me in the winter weather, The Host Isil was warm, receptive and kind towards me. (such a sweet and pleasant lady) I felt at home in the apartment and I would definitely stay here again.

These apartments are perfect for a stay in Istanbul! They're beautifully furnished & equip with a full kitchen and air condition (so everything you need for a great stay!) The place was super clean and comfortable and within walking distance from tons of adorable cafes, the main road to catch a cab or the bus stop that will take you nearly anywhere in the city you'd want to go. I cannot recommend staying here enough & will be sure to check these apartments first if I return to Istanbul!

The flat was super as expected, Aykut is a nice guy easy to comunicate with him. The location is good as well. I had a nice stay with my family there. Recomended to others.

The Galley Hotel was extremely accommodating to us for our 14+ person family reunion in Istanbul! This trip's purpose was for our family from Ukraine, Georgia, and America to all meet in one place for the first time in years, and we are so glad we chose The Galley Hotel for our extended stay. It was a perfect location both for accessing the city, having a spot to rest and recharge, and hosting family breakfasts and dinners. The hotel's resources were also very reliable. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the breakfasts we ordered were the perfect way to start our days, and the kitchen was such a vital part of our stay, providing for a place to gather, eat, and play games as a family. The front desk and cleaning staff were absolutely the highlight of our stay. Mon séjour chez Akif a été excellent. L’hébergement était très propre, confortable et conforme à la description. L’hôte a été très accueillant, disponible et réactif à toutes mes demandes. L’emplacement est parfait pour profiter pleinement de la région. Je recommande vivement ce logement et je n’hésiterai pas à revenir lors de mon prochain passage. We had an amazing trip to Istanbul and Barbaros played a big role. On the first night we had dinner in his restaurant (had the best fish during my entire stay) and he took the time to annotate a map for our trip. His suggestions and experience were great and we made the most out of our quick trip thanks to him. It’s a great location and very close to the historic sites of Istanbul. Would recommend this for young people as the immediate area is quite hilly and the roads are unevenly paved.

Le logement pour son emplacement et son agencement sont d’un très bon rapport qualité prix. Concernant les hôtes ce sont tous de super personnes, ils sont tous accueillant chaleureux, amicaux et vraiment très ouvert et sympathique. Un 10/10 du début à la fin, ils peuvent s’occuper de votre séjour du début à la fin, et vous propose de super endroit à visiter et vous explique bien les petites choses à savoir quand on ne connaît pas Istanbul. We have used 2 apartments in this property. The owner (Isil) is probably the best host we had over the years. After our arrival, she had almost 2 hours with us, walking around the neighborhood, tell us about its history and suggest us many restaurants and shops. When we had any issue or question, she was there to reply. The one to have in mind is that the building is old and traditional (wooden) which means there is limited soundproof. On the other hand, the neighborhood is quite, beautiful and traditional with all the necessary shops nearby. Distance from the center is 15' using buses & trams which are very frequent & cheap (using Istanbulkart).

Hekmat is SUPER host. Good behavior and soo friendly. Definitely recommended.

My husband and I stayed at Özlem and her partner’s place for more than one month! For us it was the first trip experience in the role of the Airbnb guest and this experience is, I can say, magnificent and amazing and absolutely met our expectations! The apartment was completely the same with the description and the photos! The apartment was totally clean, towels, bathrobes, cooking stuff, beautiful pillows, iron, pans, plates etc ( actually everything that you need for the most comfortable staying) were prepared for us in a timely manner. Also the sweets and fruits were kindly served when we checked in! Enjoyed a lot! Also, can’t help saying a few words about the view ! From your apartment balcony you will see the typical Balat, one of the ancient and historical places of Istanbul and many tourists who come here to take the photo with the beautiful colourful buildings, and from the terrace there will be the view of Golden Horn , which will totally amaze your imagination! Our love with Istanbul and its rich history started from this place and we will never regret and forget this experience! Özlem and her partner are the best hosts ever with a big heart! This place is highly recommended as the best start to get acquainted with Istanbul history where you will be able to stay like at home exploring many places around! Many churches, places worth visiting, restaurants, cafes! Breakfast in Velvet is the best , also check the Pianto to try amazing coffee ! (5 mins walk from the apartment)! Every Tuesday there is a local market with fresh fruit, vegetables, cheese , meat and fish close to home! When checked out due to the traffic jams etc we weren’t be able to take a taxi or book from Uber, so Ozlem’s partner took for us the taxi from the street ! We were very happy with our stay. The location is walkable to all the major tourist attractions and close to major public transportation. The neighborhood felt a little more local and had some really good restaurants that were more reasonably priced. The apartment itself is very cozy, and I love the style of the decor.
