Julia’s place is an absolute gem, nestled in the calm waters of the Caribbean Sea at the southern tip of Isla Cristóbal—about a 30-minute boat ride from the main island, Isla Colón. From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were stepping into a unique off-grid paradise. The house itself is self-sustaining, powered by solar energy and using filtered rainwater (which, by the way, tastes amazing!). While there’s no air conditioning, there are plenty of fans to keep the air moving. The views from the house are absolutely stunning. In the mornings, dolphins often patrol the area like local marine police, and right beneath the house, we saw massive snappers swimming in the clear waters. If you paddle out into deeper water by kayak or paddleboard, you’ll likely spot graceful rays gliding beneath you—an unforgettable experience. Victoriano, a local caretaker, was extremely helpful on the property and in surrounding areas and guided us on a hike to see the sloths and the monkeys.

Captain Eric was a true gem—always making sure we had a boat ready whenever and wherever we wanted to go. His local knowledge and friendly vibe made every outing seamless and fun. The chefs were outstanding, treating us to delicious breakfasts each morning that started our days off perfectly. Between the stunning views, top-notch service, and warm hospitality, this place is a slice of paradise. Five stars all the way!

Stop scrolling ! You have found heaven on earth! Thank the universe and book! Where to begin ? The property itself is stunning- the construction is beautiful and the view is amazing. Yes! There are dolphins right outside. Erika’s daughter spotted us a jumping pod when we were getting on the boat one morning. Spacious, well stocked, great beds, paddleboards, amazing bathtub and laundry. But the real treasure is the staff! Like wow! A+ service. From the chef, to Erika, to Jose the boat captain to the insanely talented masseuse, this place has quiet luxury on lock. It’s an incredible value. We especially loved ZapAtilla island, dunking into the water off the front deck and then chilling in the hammocks ! Saw a sting ray and many tropical fish - don’t skimp on the snorkeling opportunities! Julia does an incredible job and the management is world class. Erika- this review is esp for you! Das Haus und die Lage waren super! Riesige Küche welche sich super zum selber kochen eignet. Alles ist in kürze erreichbar und Will der für die Unterkunft schaut war einfach top! Er war Tag und Nacht erreichbar und einfach super freundlich und zuverlässig! Debra uns Scott haben sich immer nach uns erkundigt, obwohl sie selbst nicht auf der Insel leben. Man fühlt sich wirklich von Anfang bis zum Schluss zuhause, es gibt nichts zu beanstanden! Alles in allem sehr empfehlenswert um einige Tage oder Wochen auf Bocas del toro zu verbringen und die verschiedenen Inseln zu entdecken. Herzlichen Dank für die tolle Zeit!

El lugar fue increíblemente tranquilo y acogedor, rodeado por la naturaleza, lo que nos permitió relajarnos y disfrutar del entorno. La villa estaba en perfecto estado y coincidía completamente con lo que se describía en el anuncio, tanto en la fotografía como en la descripción. Fue el escape ideal para desconectar y disfrutar de la paz. Además, las recomendaciones de Ingrid para poder movilizarnos por la isla fueron de gran ayuda y realmente mejoraron nuestra experiencia. ¡Recomiendo este lugar al 100%! Sin duda, un lugar perfecto para descansar y conectar con la naturaleza.

Our stay at casa Caracola was simply exceptional. It is a spacious, luxurious and perfect for two families. From the moment we arrived, we felt so comfortable that we hardly needed to go anywhere. We spent our days enjoying the beautiful garden and swimming pool, where we had the privilege of seeing toucans, monkeys, and a variety of wild birds. Waking up each morning to the sound of birds singing was an incredible experience. The host, Ricardo, was outstanding. He helped us arrange everything, from private chefs who prepared spectacular meals at the house to booking tours and surf and diving lessons. His attention to detail and willingness to assist made our stay even more special. We also want to highlight Nely, who took care of keeping the house spotless throughout our stay. It was a pleasure to have her help in maintaining everything clean and organized. We will definitely be back. A perfect place for an unforgettable getaway! Thanks Gigi

Un véritable petit coin de paradis ! Le logement était encore mieux que sur les photos : propre, confortable, décoré avec goût, et parfaitement équipé. L’emplacement est ideal. On a adoré se réveiller avec la vue et s’endormir avec les sons de la nature. L’hôte a été absolument adorable, On s’est sentis comme chez nous dès le premier jour. Je recommande les yeux fermés, et j’espère pouvoir revenir très vite !

This resort is great! Amazing views and nice accommodations made it ideal for our trip with family. Highly recommend renting a golf cart for easy access to everything. All the places to eat were good and the staff are all so friendly. We will be back!

We would like to express our appreciation to Jerry and Susan who made our stay one of the most memorable. Jerry and Susan were very helpful and went beyond our expectations. They arranged transfers to and from the airport, reminded us about the Covid requirements, and much more. The villa has a large terrace overlooking the sea and surrounded by rainforest vegetation where you can see monkeys, yellow tails, hummingbirds, iguanas. It is also just minutes away from many beautiful beaches. The villa has air-conditioners in each room, a washer and a dryer, and everything you need to enjoy a stay away from your home. Looking forward to coming back.

This is a very special place and my friends and I were so grateful to experience it for four nights. Hellen is so helpful and will ensure your experience is as adventurous or relaxing as you want it to be. She’s an excellent cook as well. I could not recommend this place enough!

The villa was absolutely beautiful! Everything was so clean and had a great view. The resort was also great and friendly! They responded to every message. The only thing I wish they had was complimentary golf cart.

I will eagerly recommend Casa de Mono to friends who travel to Panama in the future, and I truly hope to return myself someday. I needed another whole week! The location is truly ideal - close to everything, yet private and peaceful. The unit itself is magical, with screened-in walls instead of windows, comfy A/C in the bedrooms, gorgeous decor, great beds. And the treetop room! The grounds are beautifully maintained; I saw flowers at the unit that I didn't see anywhere else on the islands. When the rain comes down, it's a symphony of sound. And best of all, a family of monkeys made an appearance on our second to last day, right outside our screens! Skully's Bar and Hostal, right across the street, is a fantastic resource, too - super entertaining and fun scene for our whole family. Thank you, Cassandra and family!
