Our stay was perfect! Even our pups felt like they were on vacation and had a great time!! We very much enjoyed the comfort of the home, a fully stocked kitchen so I could cook some home meals for my son, and chilling out on the back porch under the gazebo while the dogs ran around the back yard. She even left toys and treats for the pups and the home was fully prepared and welcoming for our dogs! We’ve stayed in pet friendly homes before but once arriving weren’t as pet friendly as we would have thought. This one was by far the best!!

Ed’s place was perfect for our quick getaway. His house is just as described. In a nice, quiet neighborhood with views of the sound/intercostal and unique canals. Easy walk (4 min) to the beach and short (5 min) drive to the heart of Surf City and the bridge. Place was clean, comfortable, and had everything you’d need. Ed is very responsive, and a great host. We’d love to return.

The place was exactly as expected, very clean and well stocked for a family to spend time together. The kitchen has things most places I’ve stayed have been missing which was really nice for cooking. Possibly the best unexpected perk was the gorgeous sunsets from the top deck every night. Couldn’t get enough. Very easy walk to the beach with paid parking if one preferred to drive. Our dogs also had a great time…just be prepared for sand spurs in the yard and surrounding areas. Jen responded quickly when we had any questions, the whole experience was pretty seamless!

The location is walkable to so many shops, restaurants, the pier and the beach. We parked our car and didn’t move it for 5 days. The house was so clean and we felt right at home. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, air fryer, coffee maker, etc. The area was very quiet. There was always plenty of room on the beach. Our kids loved being able to walk to the park and such beautiful scenery along the way. We plan to come back!

This was a delightful place to stay as we celebrated our 57th anniversary. Super clean with most comfortable beds and furniture. We spent the weekend trying different restaurants and look forward to coming again.

This place was exactly as listed. The access to the beach made it so easy. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and will definitely return.

Booked this place for a local half Ironman triathlon. it was perfectly located between all the sites I needed to get to afford the event but also close to several restaurants and beach and downtown. exceptionally clean and cozy place, quiet and peaceful. Friendly and extremely responsive host. Will book it again next year when I come back to race. Highly recommend it.

It’s an awesome place to stay we had a blast

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The home was exactly as described - clean, comfortable and beautifully maintained. It had all the essentials for the perfect longer-term stay. The location is ideal making it easy to explore the area and enjoy everything nearby. What truly made the experience exceptional were the hosts, Karley and Nick. They were incredibly responsive, kind and helpful throughout our stay, ensuring we had everything we needed. We couldn't have asked for a better, more suitable place or more gracious hosts. Highly recommend!

We chose the Tipsy Turtle for our annual family New YEAR beach getaway. This house was our best stay of any beachhouse we've rented. It was exactly as they stated, spacious, well decorated and clean. it felt like home immediately. the grand kids enjoyed every minute. The host and co-host stayed in communications immediately when we asked any questions. This home and the host have ruined us for all other host. We have already booked our next stay and can't wait to go back

My family recently stayed at Joseph’s place and had a wonderful experience! The location was unbeatable—just a short, easy walk to the beach, which made it so convenient for quick trips back and forth. The inside of the rental was spotless and well-maintained, and it had all the amenities you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. From kitchen supplies to cozy furniture, nothing was missing. We also felt incredibly safe throughout my stay, with secure entrances. Overall, it was the perfect place for a relaxing beach getaway, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a hassle-free, comfortable stay by the beach!

Our stay at Pamela’s was great. We were only one minute walk to the beach. The house is fully equipped with everything you might need! Communication with her was great too. We hope we can come back next year!

Karen and her husband went over the top to make us feel welcome. Kindness and real southern hospitality were so appreciated as we dealt with a pipe leak and flood at my moms house down the road. The guest house was clean and comfortable and we would not hesitate to stay again. Lovely, Lovely people! Thank you so much Karen!

My husband and I loved the cozy cottage by the bay. The view is absolutely breathtaking and it is quiet and private. It was the perfect getaway we needed. Violet is so kind and responsive. She knows all about what’s around in the area. We had everything we needed at the cottage. We didn’t have to bring sheets or towels which was a huge plus. Me and my husband had a great weekend! We checked in Friday and then Saturday drove down to Harkers Island to hop on the ferry to cape lookout where we saw the horses and Cape Lookout lighthouse. Afterwards we grabbed lunch at Fish Hook and then came back to Cedar Island and walked the Lola Road Trail. That night we went to Wild Wills Revenge for the prime rib dinner and it was the best prime rib we’ve had! It’s only 15 minutes from the cottage! If you’re looking for a quiet and slow weekend then this is the place to go. Be surrounded by friendly locals and the beauty of nature.

Shirley's place is always great! The space is just what we need while visiting family at Cherry Point. We needed to adjust the arrival and departure dates - because the home was available, Shirley responded quickly and was able to make the change we needed. Check- in was a breeze. Location is convenient and peaceful. Plenty of room for the dogs to expend some energy. Andrea was very responsive and flexible!

Amazing little house located right outside the city. Makes you feel at home and comfortable, quiet little neighborhood and easy to find. I would stay here 100 times again.

Super dog friendly place! Loved the convenience of having a fenced in yard, poop bags available, large crate, dog bed and dog toys. It stayed nice and cool too. The king bed was very comfortable. Shower was nice and huge fridge. It had everything we needed for a long weekend beach trip! We would love to come back :)
