We visited with our dog and stayed in the Smardale Cabin. It was the perfect place for us with everything we could have needed and close local walks, also easy to travel around the area. We found a lot of recommendations through the information Stuart provided and leaflets in the cabin. It was very peaceful and relaxing with the hot tub which can be used at any point as it is constantly heated. We also enjoyed toasting marshmallows using the fire pit (everything you need for it is available to buy in the little shop if you don’t bring your own). We would highly recommend this stay and hope we can return soon!

Thank you Abigail and John. We had such a fantastic weekend! The lodge was much bigger than we expected and really comfortable. The hot tub is brilliant and we went for a swim at the pool onsite which the kids loved. we will definitely be back!

I booked this for my partners birthday weekend away and we came with our dog for 2 nights at the end of Mar. Ellie was a great host, she was quick and easy to communicate with and made sure we all felt welcome and even decorated the lodge for my partners bday. We had a wonderful time, the lodge was well equipped and cosy, the hot tub was perfect especially at night and the area was very peaceful with some stunning views so all in all just what we needed. We really enjoyed our time here and my partner loved it for her birthday weekend away - we would be looking to come back in the future. I would highly recommend this lodge for anyone who is looking to book. P.s we decided to tackle Scafell pike which was around 25mins away - do not recommend doing on a wet and windy day as I thought i was going to die

The lodge was absolutely stunning and exactly what we wanted. Upon arrival all the essentials were provided like bread, milk and a delicious cake along. The lodge was very clean and all towels were provided, including the towels for the hot tub. The views from the lodge looking out from the bedrooms and hot tub were stunning and certainly helped us all to relax. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with everything you need - nothing was missing. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable week - I couldn’t recommend it enough if you want peace and quiet and stunning views.

Myself and my family had a wonderful time at Charlottes place. It was in a great location with a lovely view over the lake and the cabin itself was extremely well equipped with everything you would need to enjoy your stay. We enjoyed exploring the area, lots to see and do, Kirkby Lonsdale was our favourite but plenty to come back for. Charlotte was a great host, responding to questions very quickly. We hope to return to this area of the country at some point in the future and would love to stay and Charlottes place.

It was a really good stay for my girlfriend’s birthday. She was very helpful. I’d never used air bnb before. And arranged this last minute.

My Husband and I only stayed one night, but it was perfect for what we needed. We did end up needing more wood for the hot tub before it finally got to the right temperature and it was a wonderful experience after that. Beautiful and clean pod will all the basic essentials. Bathroom a lot bigger than anticipated. Won’t be our last time here for sure. Local coop just 5 min drive. Thank you Thomas.

Just back from Jack’s place after a 3 night stay. Lodge was in a great location, very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The area is fantastic for exploring and long dog walks. Although the site itself is quiet, the ski bar on site is popular and serves decent food. I certainly would recommend Jack’s place. Thanks for having us!

We had a great stay at Happy Days Lodge. The location is excellent, we left the car and got the bus to everywhere we needed as well as walking to Brockhole where both our 4 year old and 10 year old loved the adventure playground. The only thing that kept us awake most nights was the owl in the trees nearby! Jennifer was a great host and the lodge is clean, well equipped and comfortable.

The Garrison was very clean, well equipped + a few welcome goodies on our arrival. An excellent base with easy access to Arnside, Silverdale and Morecambe. Had a lovely short break with our grandchildren. (One thing to mention is that there's some road noise from the M6 which is close by. It didn't bother us particularly but it may be an issue for any light sleepers).

Lovely pod, everything you need. Very clean and stylish. Beds are pull out, apart from the ones upstairs. They were very comfortable and we had a great sleep. The shower was amazing… hot & powerful, especially after being out walking all day. Wi-Fi is good, even has sound system & smart TV. Located at the back of the park, quiet and secluded. The park is well maintained & the foods very good in the restaurant. All Staff we came across, were very friendly and helpful. I brought my Nan back for her 80th, as she use to stay at Hollins Farm seasonally many years ago. It was a trip up memory lane. Plenty of places to walk, especially the hill at the back of Hollins farm. The views are still very impressive to this day. Silverdale is just a little Gem, the gift that keeps on giving. Will definitely be returning.

This property was beautiful, and as described. I would go as far as saying it exceeded our expectations. It felt like a home from home. We visited with our dog and a lovely touch was the dog basket with blankets, towels and treats. It was spotlessly clean and had all the little things that you seem to forget when going away for a few days (salt, pepper, cleaning products). The host was very attentive and sent us so much information beforehand (where to visit, eat, local shops etc.) The property was situated in a quiet area with a little pond opposite us, it was lovely to see the ducks plodding along throughout the day. I would definitely recommend anyone who wants a few days relaxation, sight seeing and peace and quiet to give this property a go!

Lovely clean caravan In beautiful peaceful surroundings. The caravan park itself only had around 5 caravans so nice and quiet, the donkeys were a welcome sight too! First ever Airbnb for all of us which went very smoothly so big thank you to Rachel for her advice (and the park warden who found my wallet and arranged to post it out for me!) Stayed to walk scafell pike which went very well. Big things!

This was the best place I’ve stayed in when visiting the Lake District. It was so peaceful and the cabin was immaculate. There’s lovely walks in the area and Windermere is a 15 minute drive away. I wouldn’t change anything about it and will definitely be returning!

Amazing place and Sam was absolutely spot on couldn't fault the experience. The surroundings were breath taking and the panoramic sky view at night truly becomes magical with all the lights off you can see the stars right above you while you're in bed. Overall experience is amazing and would highly recommend for a few days away to just meditate and get away from daily stress.

We had a wonderful stay at Richard's place. Couldn't fault a thing about it and it was comfortable for all four of us with a well stocked kitchen so we were able to cook most the nights we were there. The outside space is great for when the sun is out! The site is lovely a peaceful with great amenities. Richard's communication was great and was on hand with speedy replies for the few queries we had. Didn't want to leave - will definitely be back!

Fantastic stay. Suburb location, Great for exploring. Everything you could need in one place. Sea, lake, mountains, moors, even found a trig. Our sons loved it. Would definitely return. Home from home with everything you could need for your stay. Beds really comfortable loved the little details and even the fleece blankets for extra comfort. Thank you we will definitely book again.

This was a perfect getaway for our family. When we arrived the caravan felt very cozy and had all the right amenities required for the stay. This was our first caravan experience so we were not sure what to expect but we were very comfortable in the end. The location had all the amenities along with a local shop for any small groceries required for our son. There was a kids play area also. There was also lots of kids game in the caravan which our son loved exploring.

A perfect stay for the beginning of our Cumbria way walk. The Shepherd's hut was spotless and Hilary had supplied some lovely breakfast items for us to enjoy. Hilary is a great host and went above and beyond to help with our walking plans. Spotting deer out the window was a highlight! I recommend the stay to any guest thinking about booking it - do it! We can't wait to stay again.

We absolutely loved our stay in the pod. The location was fantastic, short drive / nice walk to get anywhere we wanted to go. Village is lovely and we were very happy to be greeted by lambs when we arrived! The whole place was clean and tidy. The only tiny comment we would make is that the bbq is the chimenea whereas we assumed the advert meant they had both. However everything else was perfect and we would definitely recommend Mark and the pod.

We had a lovely holiday at Tarn Barn Retreat which we used as a base to visit family in the local area. The caravan comfortably accommodated my husband and I along with our 3 children. It was very wild and windy during our stay, but that only made the caravan more atmospheric and cosy. The caravans heaters kept us warm and toasty when it got a little bit chilly. We are hoping we can visit again in warmer weather, visit the beach and pick up some Tarn Bay Treats!

We had a fab stay here. My two boys (aged 6 & 8) absolutely loved it. The place was exactly as described and incredible lovely to stay in. As soon as we walked in it smelt clean and looked really well taken care of. The location was lovely and really close to Bowness. Only downside for us, which is nothing to do with the host was that the staff on the park themselves weren’t very helpful. We bought leisure passes but in all honesty id not recommend it. The food in the on site pub isn’t great. One other thing we loved is how fog friendly everywhere was. I would 100% stay here again and recommend it to anyone. Thank you for such a lovely stay.
