Lovely unit. Enjoyed our stay

We arrived to this beautiful penthouse on a very rainy day, and we felt so lucky to have a beautiful, cosy home to enjoy a homemade meal. The place is stylish, nicely decorated, clean, comfortable, spacious, bright and perfectly located. The kitchen is well stocked, including premium coffee! The washing machine and the dryer were very handy as we are travelling in South Africa for a while. We also very much enjoyed the speaker in the apartment, it made us do extra push ups working out on the terrace with beautiful views outside 😀

Beautifully located within the Thesen Island precinct with access to its facilities this unit is a penthouse with convenient access from your parking directly to the unit. Well maintained and kept well by Douglas who communicates clearly and is always close by if you need additional support.

We had a lovely 2 night stay in the apartment. Easy and safe to walk to the lovely bars and restaurants on the quay. The apartment had everything we needed and was in a quiet area and very clean. Was able to park the car in secure garage and would be very happy to stay here again.

Lovely sunny unit. Close to all the amenities, the lagoon etc. Will definitely stay again. Dog friendly, but stairs can be challenging for older dogs or short legged basset hounds. Hos is extremely responsive to all messages and concerns at all times.

Lovely place in a beautiful and serene setting. We had some issues with hot water (geyser failure which does not happen often!) and power (normal in SA) and through it Andrew was very involved sorting it out quickly and keeping us informed right the way through. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will likely be back if staying in Knysna again.

Henry was highly proactive during our two night visit to Knysna. The listing is situated close to town and other activities that are within walking distance. I highly recommend Henry and this listing for other travelers following the Garden Route!

Great location an decor

This house is incredible. Much bigger than it looks in the pictures and the views are amazing. It was perfect for me and my 4 colleagues on our business trip to Knysna!

Lovely place to stay at & the location was great to explore Knysna.

Maria made us feel right at home. The place is incredible, and the furniture is equally impressive. We mostly followed the recommendations they gave us. The house is situated in a very safe area, just a 5-minute walk from a restaurant and a coffee shop. The beach is just a 10-minute walk away. It’s the perfect place to stay with a baby. We used the barbecue and beach chairs. Knysna is an ideal break on the Garden Route. We would have stayed longer if we could have!

This was a safe area where we could walk through the neighborhood. It is close to everything in Knysna. It was very clean and having a washer was really helpful. Wifi seemed slow. The property has a lot of steps, but that was fine for our family. It was nice to have multiple seating areas so we could sit together or spread out when we wanted to. Host offered information on local attractions and had coffee, milk, and sugar for when we arrived.

We really enjoyed our stay in Daniel’s house where you have your own jetty and walking distance to cafes and restaurants. Audrey was very helpful during check in and later on when we had a power shortage. Daniel is also very kind and helpful and an extra plus is that we could use the double kayak which really enhanced our stay. We would love to come back!

Das Haus entspricht genau den Bildern – modern, stilvoll und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Die Betten sind sehr bequem, und der Wohn-, Ess- und Küchenbereich im ersten Stock bietet einen atemberaubenden Blick auf die Heads und das angrenzende Vogelschutzgebiet. Besonders abends ist es faszinierend, das Naturschauspiel zu beobachten. Jaco war unglaublich freundlich, jederzeit erreichbar und eine große Hilfe. Insgesamt ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt – das Haus ist definitiv eine Empfehlung wert!

We had a wonderful stay at Gantry House. The location was beautiful and convenient, the house was spotless, the amenities were excellent and Liddi was communicative and efficient. We’d love to stay again.

We have spent many holidays on Thesen Islands over the years, renting multiple homes on multiple islands. We have now found the perfect home for us. What you arrive to is so much better than any description or picture and exceeded all of our expectations without exception. It's a stunning North facing location with a wonderful view up the main canal. The home is very well appointed and most notably, for us and for my wife, spotlessley clean. Also very notably we were supplied with the small things that make a big difference and give you a sense of generosity by the hosts; toilet paper, dishwasher tabs, sponges, washing powder, hand soaps etc (you'll be shocked how many home stays don't supply the small things). We are so appreciative to Ilsebe for sharing her lovely home with us. 2026 is already booked. Can't wait! The Farrells

We Stayed at Andrei’s place, the location and the apartment itself were amazing, perhaps even better than the pictures. The only downside I would say is the bedroom on top of the coffeeshop as it gets quite noisy from 6-7 in the morning. Other than that, definitely recommend it and will visit back again.

Wir hatten eine angenehme Zeit in dieser Wohnung. Alles, was man braucht, ist vorhanden. Die Wohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet, sehr ruhig gelegen. Wir hatten einen guten Aufenthalt.

Spent 2 days here and it was great. Host was very responsive and helpful. Place looked like photos & all amenities present.

Wonderful place to stay. The apartment was big, it was very well equipped with all that you can think of. We loves every moment we lived there, and regretted that we should have lived there for couple of more days. Location and views of the apartment are also good.

This place is amazing and exceptionally beautiful. Everything is within walking distance, the restaurants are great. Heather thank you by the time we got there we had all the information and more for activities places to eat and all. We enjoyed and loved our stay.

Our family had a wonderful stay in Brenton. We didn’t want to leave this beautiful place. We loved our amazing view and peaceful surroundings. The home was clean and more than adequately kitted out. Probably the best Air BnB we have stayed in. Thank you for being an amazing host and thinking of the small touches, like the risks and milk in the fridge upon arrival. We will definitely be back.
