We had a great time at Salma’s cabin! Everything was accurately depicted in the photos and between the included games and the hot tub we were able to spend an entire day just at the cabin. The location is excellent, you’re able to feel secluded but still close enough to Traverse City that you can run to town to grab a cup of coffee or a bite to eat. It’s a perfect location for checking out the city or exploring the wineries. Check in was easy and Salma was available should we have needed anything!

I booked this beautiful home after my first reservation and host cancelled on me due to the storms. Well, I can say… we are so happy with our stay. It was exactly as described and even better than expected. April really is a one of a kind host, so good that I had to take notes for my own Air bnb adventure. She thought of everything! I’ve never had a better stocked kitchen. We always cook and make a big meal and we sure did not want for anything. We were even greeted with a local baked good and extra sheets and blankets for the dogs. These hosts were the best I’ve had in Michigan, if not the whole country. I’m thankful for people who truly consider someone’s stay and thinks of it all. Thank you again to the hosts. The Cabin was spotless and one of my favorite features was the deer lights.

We had a lovely stay! The cottage was so cute and I just loved how they decorated it! We absolutely loved the hot tub and used it every day! We decided to walk down to the beach through all the snow, would love to stay in the summer when we can actually go swimming!! Ate at Peegeos twice during our stay, so close and so good, get the cheesecake! So delicious and made from scratch! We will definitely be back!

The cottage was great, clean and had everything we needed. Beautiful location right on the river. It was clear that our host has put a lot of thought and effort into ensuring that guests enjoy their stay and we did. Would not hesitate to stay again.

I asked my 9, 8 & 5 year old about the best part of our stay, and they all agreed that the hot tub, fire pit for s’mores and the board games were the best part. I enjoyed having a quiet space to get homework done with a view of the water. This was the perfect get away for a family of 5! We enjoyed staying inside, cooking meals & enjoying the house itself. It is beautiful inside and out, exactly like the photos and had everything we needed for our stay. We can’t wait to come back during the summer time to go out on the lake!

This cottage was perfect! It was warm, quiet, cozy and clean! The cottage had everything we needed, INCLUDING COFFEE, laundry soap, dish soap and many extras! The hot tub stayed hot even after a couple hours open in the cold. The bed and pillows were amazing. We never closed a curtain, it was so private and quiet! Would definitely stay here again!

The host was very friendly and quick responding. Location is beautiful. Cool little cabin on the lake. Very well stocked with utensils, glassware, and games.

A perfect fall getaway! It was so peaceful and beautiful. Loved the sound of the waves. The window porch was the perfect place to read a book… or even just zone out to the lovely surroundings and sounds.

We had an amazing family vacation at the “Beach House”. My family loved this area on Long Lake. The beach is very private , and we used it everyday. The beach also has a small fire pit, with a larger fire area up by the cabin. It’s a 16 minute drive into Cheboygan. Where their are many shops, and Restaurants. Cheboygan also has a beautiful trail system, with the Trail Head right in town. Our daughter ran on this trail at least three times while we were here. Makinaw City, and the Makinaw Bridge, are only 30-35 minute’s away.

The cottage was cute and cozy. Perfect for a weekend getaway. Great location! Sherri was a great host! Thank you for a great stay!

Probably the best Airbnb experience we have ever had. John and his wife were kind and quick to respond to our questions. While they live on the property, we did not see them at all during our stay. The water front makes it extremely enjoyable and the lake is quiet. They checked in with us and always made sure we had everything we needed. We will absolutely be back to this rental, hopefully for longer next time!

This is a gem!! Loved our stay. Perfect location to wineries, restaurants, shopping, and beach! Great farm and open areas to walk our dogs. Definitely will be back!!

This was our first repeat Airbnb experience, we enjoyed Laurie’s place that much! It’s peaceful and the lake is lovely, no matter the time of year. Close to Short’s brewing and Schuss mountain, not far from Boyne, it’s quiet but still well located to have a great up north adventure. It’s also well stocked with toys and books, which is a great plus for our family! And Laurie is super responsive and kind. We might stay a third time!

Jacqueline was great — she responded immediately when we had a few questions. Very accommodating host — she let us check in early. My wife felt there were too many fragrances in the house (air fresheners, etc.) — so something to know if you're sensitive to that sort of thing.

Lauren’s home is extremely charming with all the amenities needed for a very comfortable stay. Just a short walk to the beach and very close to wonderful biking and walking trails along the shores of Lake Huron. Not only did the home incorporate some wonderful turn of the century beauty but was beautifully decorated with some wonderful antique style furniture and a slightly eclectic yet beautiful artistry. As soon as I walked in the house I could feel the warmth of a wonderful family home rich with history. Lauren is extremely responsive and was more than gracious to maintain whatever level of communication I was comfortable with. The home was well equipped with all the things needed to make meals, do laundry, and just relax. My children really enjoyed the many books, the “secret” closet leading into the upstairs office/playroom and the many board games available. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. I highly recommend this home, Lauren is a wonderful host!

Our car broke down on our way up North so we got to the house very late with no food or water because stores were closed and luckily this house had everything we needed and was so clean and cozy! We enjoyed every room and played lots of games and built a fire everyday. The guidebook was also so helpful! We enjoyed this house so much and would love to come back and stay at Darcy’s again. One of my favorite stays, thank you so much!!

Great little cottage. Loved the location and the proximity to town. Everything we needed. Will definitely return hopefully when it isn’t cold and rainy so I can enjoy the beautiful screened porch and nice yard/firepit.

We had a great time at the cottage on the river. It was very private and peaceful with lots of ships going by. It is close enough to walk to the parks and town area. The cottage itself is a wonderful mix of eclectic furnishings and decorations. After 10 days here I still don’t think we noticed all of the details. It was fun each day finding something interesting that we hadn’t seen yet. We would recommend Brenda’s cottage as a nice relaxing place where you can explore the eastern U.P.

I stayed here for a wedding and wanted some private and quiet time around the events. It was fabulous. Sitting on porch talking to a friend or reading, the bed in the loft helped give me two of my best nights sleep in a long time. Would love to return for a longer time and just chill Went to the Villager in Lewiston for breakfast. Great service and food. Closes at 2 and cash only.

Great place to unwind and relax! Ellsworth Lake is such a beautiful spot and holds many memories for our family.

This cottage was absolutely perfect for a long weekend getaway with my husband. The location was centrally located between Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes and Traverse City. The cottage itself was so unique and I loved the decor! It felt so cozy! The more you looked around (both inside and outside) the more you found! I highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!
