Update on the water situation here in Cape Town: Level 6b restrictions were placed in effect on the 1st February. Daily water consumption per person has been limited to 50 litres. There is adequate water for tourists; essential daily needs such as washing, using the toilet, and daily hygiene. During peak season (November – January) international tourists only add 1% to the population of the Western Cape. This number drops from April – September. If visitors follow the daily usage guideline the impact would therefore be negligible. The tourism sector supports approximately 300 000 much needed jobs across the Western Cape - it is vital to preserve these jobs. "Day Zero" has been avoided for 2018, therefore water will not be cut off. However, travellers need to remain mindful of the drought and practice water-wise tourism when visiting. At present, visitors are able to shower and maintain daily hygiene. The majority of tourism establishments have put in place measures to ensure their water usage is reduced, and many have developed plans for alternative supplies. Recommended guidelines suggest a shower of 90 seconds. The use of baths is entirely discouraged. UBER is super popular too. Guests choose UBER especially over the crazy summer season - much easier! The property though offers a double garage plus off-street parking so if hiring a car, then no problem at all NO SMOKING WHATSOEVER - only on the patio outside and the garden. Check-out is 11am Check-in 2pm Either myself, my Dad, or brothers, Russ and Dean will be available to meet and give all guests access.

The house is spread over 3 levels. A 3 car private and lockable garage on the first, main living area inside and outside on the second level and bedrooms and bathrooms on the top and 3rd level. All levels are accessible by stairs and is therefore not wheelchair friendly or will not suit guests with walking difficulty. Accommodation is made up of 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. Toilets are not separate but there is an additional guest loo on the second level. The house has a small private swimming pool, fire pit and gas barbecue. Pick n pay and a great variety of restaurants are just a short walk away. The property was newly renovated in 2015 and refurnished October 2016. For the duration of your stay, you will have access to the entire home. I am phone call away to assist with anything you may need during your stay. Exploring beyond the area is easy with easy access to Cape Town and surrounding areas. The Cape Town my City bus stop as well as the red Cape Town sightseeing tourist bus is nearby and approximately a 5 min walk. We can also assist with airport transfers and all other traveling requirements. Should you wish for us to shop for you and stock the fridge and pantry before your arrival, we can do that too at an additional service fee.
