We had a great time staying here. The location is great and made it easy to visit the state park. The view is beautiful!! We loved the back patio! Enjoyed grilling dinners and getting in the hot tub after our hikes. The host was very helpful and responsive.

Place is exactly as described and in pictures, in fact, I believe even better. Mediterranean feel but in a cabin overlooking canyon. Seems remodeled or at least very well kept up, beautiful platform outside to take in special canyon view. All amenities needed in house. Grab groceries prior to getting to cabin since it is about 10-15 miles away from local markets and restaurant. Overall, great!

We hebben een super verblijf gehad. De cabin voldeed aan al onze wensen en wat hebben we genoten van het geweldige uitzicht. Alles was super schoon en alles was aanwezig wat we nodig hadden. We hadden graag langer willen blijven. Ook een hele leuke locatie om te verblijven met kinderen! Bedankt voor deze geweldige ervaring.

The house was exceptionally clean and was a GREAT location with a GREAT view! We took two elementary age kids and two dogs and everyone enjoyed it. The views were excellent. The kids had an area to play (swings, climbing pole, horseshoes, etc.) right by the house. The walking path was great for all of us in the evening. We also enjoyed seeing some of the wildlife in the area. The host was available through the entirity of the booking and stay. We would not hesitate to stay again and have already recommended to friends/family!

We just needed a place for the night and thankfully found this home. Wonderful !!! So accommodating and inviting ! Wish we could've stayed longer. Super easy to navigate the house. Highly recommend

Rustic Luxury Cabins and Palo Duro Canyon... absolutely amazing. The photos look great but they don't do the place, the view, and the area justice. The beauty of the canyon is breathtaking and the cabin, is a perfectly peaceful place to enjoy the canyon from the rim and have access to everything that's available. On day one we just sat on the porch with a bottle of wine and marveled at the view. We watched a small heard Audad Sheep navigate the steep mountain slopes. Sunset was incredible. You're minutes away from most outdoor activities. On day two we hiked the Lighthouse Trail in Palo Duro State Park. It was seven miles round trip but not difficult. It was so beautiful and enjoyable. Day three we went horseback riding with Palo Duro stables, again 5 minutes from the cabin. Day four we took a jeep tour with Palo Duro Jeep Tours. Again, 5 minutes way. The cabin was relaxing and perfect in every way. We ventured to Canyon and Amarillo in the evenings to try a different rib place!

Doves Rest exceeded our expectations! It could not be closer to the entrance of Palo Duro Canyon State Park. The canyon, of course, is the star of the show, but the grounds at Doves Rest were so exceptionally beautiful and peaceful! We were unfortunately stuck inside the cabin for one whole day due to an unusual wind storm which resulted in a loss of power, but we enjoyed watching the Barbary sheep, wild hogs, and Western Meadowlarks from our window. The kitchen was so well stocked with quality utensils and cookware making it easy for us to prepare our meals. The cabin was clean and comfortable, parking was right next to cabin. I would recommend this cabin and any other at Doves Rest to my friends!! We will definitely stay here again if we come back!!

April 2025-Wow! like walking into a model home! beautiful, with music playing, clean and comfortable. The views are stunning! literally on the edge of the canyon. Don’t think twice, book it! The host-patient and courteous with questions before & during my stay & quick to respond. Lots of hot water for a family of 4. A bonus to have 3 TVs Binder with helpful information-things to do, places to eat & instructions Easy entry Clean, clean, clean Beautiful large glass door with views from inside!! Texas Rose Steakhouse great restaurant 15 minutes away (highly recommend!) Plush towels-8 bath & 4 hand Minor suggestions -2 wash cloths. Owner said isn’t the norm) -shampoo and conditioner-provided 1.25 ounces of shampoo and 1.0 ounce of conditioner. -Recommend bring your pillows (pillows are flat 2 per bed) -slight pet odor but we used essential oils and it cleared the air -bring paper towels none in kitchen very minor things that we worked out-We will return! Highly recommend!

We stayed at the Hideout on April 7-10. The cabin was great. It is about a mile from the entrance to Palo Dura Canyon State Park so very convenient. The host, Andrea, was very nice and hospitable. She provided fresh eggs and everything for a complete and hearty breakfast. The cabin is clean and has everything you need. I would definitely go back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful modern cabin perched on the rim of Palo Duro Canyon. Incredible views!
