The house and the host were incredible. Immediately upon arriving, we felt at home and ready to relax. There are so many five star touches in this house --- every room has its own sound machine; there is a top notch massage chair in the living room; and there is ample space to get away while all being in the same home. Our kids were asking within the first hour if this could be the forever house. I am looking forward to booking this space again in the future!

We were very pleased with the house. Just be careful w little ones, all vent covers were not secured to the floor properly and that could be safety hazard. One disappointment we had -although the beach was very close (5 minutes walk) there were runoff pipes all along the beach. Public beach a 5 minute drive. We ended up driving to Virginia Beach and had much better time there, 40 minute drive.

My family had the pleasure of renting this wonderful home, and I must say it exceeded all our expectations. The location was ideal, with both private and public beach access a short drive away. This home is located on a peaceful street, allowing for a good night’s rest. The house itself was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that made it feel like a second home. The attention to detail in terms of amenities and extras was impressive. What truly made our experience stand out was the exceptional communication and hospitality provided by the host. Their instructions were clear, concise, and extremely helpful, making it easy for us to settle in and make the most of our short stay. Cape Charles is a charming town, with its quaint shops, restaurants, and theater all conveniently located on Mason Avenue, making it easy to explore and find everything we needed. Great accomodations for a big group. The house is huge and super interesting. While on the patio we watched the horses frolick, and were visited by a shy little dachshund, and a not-so-shy little farm cat. Beds were comfy. Lots of amenities like coffee pots, plenty of seating, a theater room, big Jacuzzi tub, and lots of bedrooms. Overall an extremely peaceful visit that I would stay at again.

The Blue Oyster was a lovely and relaxing oasis for our girls weekend getaway. The house was so well appointed anything you could need or want was available and accessible. The screened in porch was wonderful for having conversation, wine and cheese to relax before dinner. Bathrooms were clean and well appointed. Beds were very comfortable. Extra blankets in case we needed them. Gas fireplace in the living room provided lovely ambiance and warmth as the day cooled off. Highly recommend stay at The Blue Oyster if you find yourself in Irvington!

Beautiful home on a stunning body of water. We were happy as could be even if we never stepped foot into the house, just lounging on the patio-deck looking out onto the water was exactly what we needed. Speaking of the house, every room had a view of the large body of water. That is what drew us to the property and it was better that expected. The home has a very nice layout with a very large functional kitchen that could easily handle more than four people helping out with our meal preps. Super comfy beds for a great nights sleep that could easily sleep a crew of eight. It is nestled in a sleepy little town, no night life here. Which was perfect for a relaxing getaway from the NOVA bumper to bumper chaos.

We loved our weekend stay in Cape Charles and this rental was absolutely perfect for our family. Very well equipped home with lovely decor. Angela communicated every detail that we needed for a seamless check in. Would definitely recommend!
