Set in 3.5 acres of paradise on the edge of Bodmin moor. A crystal clear stream meanders through woods with two waterfalls, a beautiful lake and bridges. The Old National School is a Grade II listed house, nestled in the beautiful hamlet of Sampford Spiney, located within Dartmoor National Park. Dating from 1585, the house sits in an idyllic spot between the Church and picturesque Sampford Manor. Originally the Church hall, it became the parish school in 1887 until 1923. It was only in the 1960’s that it became a residential dwelling. With its varied history, the house is quirky, with its lovely spacious rooms hinting at its eclectic history.

Our cottage is situated on Bodmin Moor in an area of oustanding natural beauty and on the outskirts of the hamlet of Warleggan. It is an ideal location for people who are looking to get away from it all, whilst still being within easy reach of major Cornish towns and sitting roughly equidistant between beautiful Cornish north and south coast beaches. The accommodation is a light and airy space with neutral decor, furnished partly with pieces from our travels in Africa.
