This family home is within two miles of the medieval village of Carlingford and the home of some of the finest restaurants and bars on the North East coast. Enjoy the excellent quality food and service with the famous locally grown Carlingford oysters washed down with locally brewed beers. Take the local fifteen minute ferry ride and you will arrive at the Royal County Down golf club. Should you prefer things to be a little less hectic , take one of the many hiking trails just outside your back door, or retire to the sun room to read and relax. Alternatively , just meander through the beautifully matured Ros Cottage garden all lovingly planted by the owner. This is a very unique and beautiful home with an abundance of character. Ferryhill Cottage

Had a revamp in Feb’25 to brighten, freshen and update the cottage. Solar panels fitted in August’25. Close to Omeath on the Irish side of the border, it lies between Newry & Carlingford. A quiet location, lovely ambiance & plenty of outdoor space. A car is a necessity. Great for couples, solo adventurers, walkers, golfers and cyclists or just to disconnect from the chaos. Not set up for child safety. It offers a work from home alternative with very good wifi connectivity supporting video calls

Countryside farm stay

Welcome to our barn conversion which we hope will provide you with the perfect escape, a base for your countryside adventures or a bed after exploring nearby towns and cities. Located on a working dairy farm the barn was converted in 2019 into 2 separate apartments each accommodating max 4 people. At the moment only the ground floor apartment is available to guests. Perfectly located with easy access from the M1 motorway, an hours drive from Dublin and Belfast and only 8 min by car to Dundalk.
