La casa es muy grande, súper cómoda, limpia y muy bien equipada, tiene hasta mas de lo necesario, además muy segura, David es súper atento y pendiente de cualquier necesidad, nos brindo mucha colaboración en todo momento, pasamos unos días muy hermosos en familia, siempre en comunicación con Kimberly.

We (a family of four) spent a month here and really enjoyed our time. If you love nature, you will not be disappointed with the house or the neighborhood as you are surrounded by it in a very peaceful setting. We saw many species of birds pretty much every day (macaws, toucans, aracaris, oropendolas, and many more), had a couple of sloths living 50m away from the house, saw lots of cool lizards and insects, and found three varieties of poison dart frogs near the waterfall in the neighborhood. The pool is very convenient and the internet is good enough that I was able to work remotely from here for a month with only a couple minor issues with power outages. I recommend that you consider bringing an extra fan or two and plan on buying bottled water to drink.

El lugar está bien equipado, en una zona de mucha tranquilidad. El jacuzzi es excelente! Pondría un banquito a la par de la cama porque estaba muy alta y cobijas extras para las noches frías.

Everything was fine, view was beautiful, Jorge was really helpful, no complaints, we will go back again 🙏🏻

Beautifully designed, practical, comfortable and well equipped apartment with gorgeous patio, surrounded by a coffee plantation. Communication was great and I felt at home right from the start. Very recommended for a month or longer stays.

This was my second stay in Gustavo's place. Gustavo is an amazing host, and one of the best hosts that I've experienced on Airbnb. He is very responsive, and provides many toiletries that other places did not provide. The apartment is big, clean and has an amazing view. The apartment is in a good location and has many things that are walkable. I would definitely stay in Gustavo's place again.

I enjoyed my month stay at Unity. Charlotte and Santiago are amazing at ensuring a comfortable stay. The location is excellent.. close to the University and shops and restaurants. Really enjoyed the Sunday farmers market 5 blocks away. I enjoyed feeling part of the city. I specifically came for enhancing my yoga practice. The location is near many yoga facilities. The inhouse yoga studio was a selling feature for me. I daily used the room. I enjoyed the unique back yard regenerative garden. The sustainability ethos was important to me. I used many of the common space to hang out/work/relax. Unity is unique. You can participate and even lead events (I enjoyed hosting/helping in Karoke-pizza night as well as a Tropical Happy Hour night events), OR stay to yourself. Incredibly enjoyed my stay.. looking forward to returning again.

Un lugar maravilloso, sin duda uno de los mejores de la zona. El acceso es perfecto para todo tipo de vehículo, y la casa está muy bien equipada, con todo lo necesario para simplemente llegar y disfrutar. La mesa de billar está en excelentes condiciones, y el lugar en general superó mis expectativas. ¡Sin duda volvería a ir!

If you are expecting a 5 star hotel do not go here. If you are expecting an experience, amazing food, no AC, cold showers, no iron or hair dryer and an amazing rural farm experience that you will never forget then this is the place to go. Extremely good, honest, hard working people. They feed you almost everything they grow or raise and give you the same food they eat or feed their kids. Mary Luz is an amazing person and a great cook. Plenty of other options available in the area to get a farm experience but if you also want a foodie experience then this place is it. As everyone has said rough roads but we had a good suv and got there in 20 minutes after we turned off highway 32. For some people it may take 45 minutes. Expect to get woken up with birds and roosters making a racket around 5:30 am.

Great place to stay if you wish to get some clear air. The property is huge and beautiful, with lots of trails to walk. The view is unbeatable, as soon as you walk out the cozy house, you'll be taken away by the mountains. Me and my friends will definitely revisit.

Friendly hosts and remote, peaceful location. Very little human noise up on this mountaintop. Birds, night insects, frogs. I only heard one airplane. Saw a great curassow. The bungalow is on a horse farm and the area right around it is pretty open. Horse paths dip into the forest and you're allowed to walk these on your own. If you want to hike farther into the forest you can hire Chico (very nice man) to guide you into the river valley . Hike to the waterfall is a beautiful, slippery scramble to a lovely jungle oasis. Swimming at the base of the falls- glorious! Bungalow is rustic. If you like camping you will find it luxurious. If you don't, it may be too rustic for you. I loved it. Ferny outdoor bathroom is the nicest I've ever seen. Bungalow was musty when we got there but aired out nicely. Bed was very comfortable. Cold water only. Lighting is by candle - takes a little getting used to, but then so lovely. Hosts arranged transportation up and down mountain for me.

Muy buen lugar, la pasamos muy bien. Un lugar seguro y cómodo, se encuentra en una buena ubicación.

Hospedaje increíble para pasar tiempo en familia. La vegetación y tranquilidad de la zona son especiales para descansar, y la propiedad cuenta con mucho espacio para relajarse. Además hay muchas variedades de aves para observar.

La casa muy bonita, limpia, grande y cómoda. La propiedad muy bonita y la caminata por los senderos bastante agradable y accesible. Nos quedaremos nuevamente en un futuro cercano.

loved Bernals place.... great location can walk downtown in 15 minutes..... or take the bus right across the street....great grocery store 5 minutes away....great stay at Bernals place...

Casa Amapola is a beautiful house in a fabulous setting, with open views over the rainforest and down to the Caribbean Sea. It is spacious and well-equipped and you could easily sit on the veranda for days on end just enjoying the view and the wildlife around you. There is a bumpy track up to the Estate and then down to the property, but this is in relatively good condition for Costa Rican gravel tracks and is driveable with 2WD. The nearest town, Siquirres, is about 10km away and has a wide range of shops and restaurants. This is a beautiful place to stay if you want a quiet and peaceful experience of Caribbean Costa Rica and when they have finished upgrading the San Jose-Limon road then the coast will be easily accessible.

this place was really beautiful. A great place to get settled and rest up after the journey to Costa Rica. We did have a rental car and don't know how it would have been to get around without one, but pool, garden, nice house, kitchen, laundry, beautiful heard of cows across the street, constant flow of visiting birds, comfortable climate, sometime to help out if the Internet goes down or you need anything, and even a buzz zapper racquet to keep you from getting bit in the night if you happened to let a couple mosquitos inside. Overall a great stay, and I would stay there again if I make it back.
