Rene's place is off the main road, giving it a more private and peaceful atmosphere. That said, everything was still in walking distance, which makes it a great location. It is a very cute cottage, with all the necessary amenities.

A rustic gem and great stay to forget about the hustle and stress. The hot tub and pool were so inviting. Will definitely be back to enjoy the views from the hot tub. The lack of internet and poor cell signal was a blessing. Thanks to Marinda for clear directions and sorting out the gas.

Stayed here with my dog en route from Joburg to Cape Town. The spot was perfect for what we needed - big airy rooms with stone floor etc (very pet friendly), space for us to relax outside and walk around, comfy bed etc. Signal was spotty and there is no wifi/tv etc., but the farm/Karoo vibe didn't make me miss that at all. Not much close by so either bring stuff to braai, or pick up some takeaways before you get there. There is some lovely stuff at the padstal, but it's not really easy dinner food apart from pies etc., so its great for biltong, jams, koeksisters etc., but keep this in mind for dinner. I will 100% stay here again, as its great value, clean, airy and big rooms, and was a nice break from the rush.

The best romantic and peaceful break away! The place was actually better than the photos! we took our dogs along and this was sò enjoyable. Absolutely no problems at all. The cottage is well 20min drive on gravel, but is do-able with a normal car. So secluded and quiet in the heart of the mountains. Only 2 cottages so it was very private... it felt like we owned our own piece of mountains! We swam in the nearby dams and hiked on the trails surrounding the area. Would definitely love to stay there again and again. We also thought of it as the best honeymoon venue that we have ever came across. Everything was breathtaking and was like we walked into a magazine!! definitely 11 out of 10!! 🙌

Gert is an excellent host, very responsive and helpful! The unit feels tranquil and secluded, yet is situated enroute all the must-do attractions Oudtshoorn has to offer. Our family had a wonderful stay at Africa Inn

What a peaceful stay! We enjoyed its quiet location, surrounded by the beauty of nature, blessed with gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. The little touches like welcome port, homemade bread, rusks and filter coffee was so thoughtful of our host and made us feel right at home. This stay is ideal if you want to get away from the hustle of a busy town but still have access to wifi. Thank you for a wonderful and restful stay!

Peggy received us and helped with check in. She really went the extra mile by bringing our dinner to our room when she realised my elderly dad wouldn’t be able to walk to the coffee shop. We also appreciated that the coffee shop was open on a public holiday to serve us after a long day of driving. Thank you so much!!

We had a wonderful stay at Klein Karoo Game Lodge, celebrating our anniversary in style. The staff were warm and welcoming, upon arrival and gave us a drink to celebrate our anniversary ,the Lodge offered breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere. Our Chalet was spacious, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed It’s an ideal getaway for anyone looking to experience the beauty of the region while enjoying comfort, excellent service, and a genuine connection with nature. we will certainly be returning
