Waiorau Homestead was absolutely stunning and exceeded our expectations. Our hostess Ann was extremely attentive and made sure we had every thing on hand to ensure a relaxing and peaceful stay. The most comfortable bed and luxurious down comforters and pillows were 5 star quality. Our room was thoughtfully decorated and felt like we were in a Parisian Hotel. A lovely buffet breakfast greeted us each morning which comprised of seasonal fruits, cereals , eggs on toast and croissants followed by freshly brewed coffee. Thank you so much for having us & making our stay perfect.

We enjoyed our stay at Paul’s place.. He greeted us and provided clear instructions, so checking in was easy. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. He was nice and friendly. You can walk to the restaurants and town centre in around 20mins, I would recommend this place to others! Thankyou

Absolutely lovely accommodations. Everything was clean and comfortable. I was able to do a load of washing, which was greatly appreciated. Gary was great to talk to and made me feel right at home. Highly recommend.

Staying here was a dream! It was so quiet, I slept like a baby. Lyn and Ross are incredibly nice and even prepared a breakfast full of yummy food and fresh fruits. 10/10 would recommend!

The view from the room was absolutely breathtaking – I’ll never forget falling asleep under the sparkling Milky Way at night. The house’s location was great , with the bus stop just a short walk away, making it so easy to explore the area. The bed was incredibly comfortable (I slept better here than at home!), and I truly appreciated how safe and peaceful the entire stay felt. Peggy ’ve created such a special retreat, and I’m already dreaming of returning someday.

This is the most special place we stayed in our 4 weeks in New Zealand. The lodge feels absolutely like home and casts a spell you will never forget. Pete was a such a warm and funny presence—always ready with a quip or a laugh. The room we had, and the main house, are beautifully designed and the interiors are warm, authentic and serene. Extremely comfortable bed and top notch bathroom facilities. You will definitely want to stay longer than whatever time you have booked.

We stayed at Nikki’s while doing the Central Otago Rail Trail. It was a short ride to her place in historic Ophir and we enjoyed looking around. She is about 1km from an historic bridge. The accommodation was very lovely in an old stone cottage that had been lovingly restored. It had good heating and very comfortable bed and a slow combustion stove if you want to stay in. 2 great venues to eat. Highly recommended.

As anticipated and expected from the photos, Quaint and funky, wonderful place at the end of the road. Margaret was friendly and helpful, she felt like a friend immediately on meeting her. A delightful few days away

Sheryl’s place is an absolute must for visiting New Zealand’s South Island! We stumbled on her place in a last minute booking, avoiding rain, and ended up staying another night because of how lovely our experience was. Sheryl is incredibly welcoming and friendly, and we loved chatting with her. Her house is not only stunning, but steps away from Lake Hawea— a must stay!

It was a unique and memorable opportunity to stay at the Middlemarch property where my mother, Natalie, had lived from 1927 to 1944. I had spent many holidays there and so it was a most fulfilling experience to introduce my grownup children and two young grandchildren to the ancestral home and heritage. We also scattered my 97yo mother’s ashes on the Rock & Pillar Range behind Strathmore. Liz was very hospitable and showed us through the main house where she lives. She also provided delicious homemade yogurt with apricots, raspberry and blackcurrant jams and locally sourced honey for breakfast & snacks. We met several lovely neighbours and local personalities during our 3 day stay. We enjoyed eating at the local Kissing Gate cafe and the Strath Taieri Hotel. The landscape was magnificent and we really enjoyed all aspects of our stay.

Susan and her husband were very friendly and helpful. We spoke only limited English and they were very patient with us, which made my wife and I feel very welcome. We had a wonderful and enjoyable time here.

Wow! Caroline and Suzie really know how to run a fantastic bed and breakfast. From the moment you are greeted when you arrive, you feel right at home and like you are part of the family. Both are very kind, personable, funny, and helpful. They are very thorough when recommending things to do, things to see, where to hike, what to eat, etc. The house is laid out nicely, with private bathrooms for each room. Everything is very clean and ready for you when you arrive. The beds are comfy. The living area and kitchen are nice and spacious, and the patio is beautiful and relaxing. The breakfast that Caroline and Suzie make each day are absolutely delicious! Nice and healthy and offer enough carbs for a big day of hiking. Caroline also offered tea (many selections) periodically anytime I came back to the house. I truly had a great time here and would most definitely book again! I highly recommend you do!

We really enjoyed our stay with Lynley and Glyn. The accommodation was homely, the bed was big and comfy, the hosts very welcoming and extremely interesting and the house is in a beautiful part of the country. And yes, I have changed the way I cook my eggs :) Thanks Lynley.

Phil is a gracious and friendly host who shares his lovely home in a beautiful location. We particularly enjoyed the lovely views of the lake and snow sprinkled mountains in the distance, Phil's local knowledge and recommendations, and the tasty and nutritious breakfast which set us up for nicely for the day's activities. His house is an easy drive from Te Aneu and all of its amenities which for us included a great starting point for our bus tour and Milford Sound boat trip.

Lynette war eine sehr sympathische Gastgeberin. Alles war sehr sauber und ordentlich. Frühstück war sehr lecker. Zimmer war klein, aber wir hätten unsere Koffer in einem anderen Raum verstauen können. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Such a lovely place to stay! The room was warm and inviting—just what we needed during the holidays. Our host went above and beyond by making us fresh coffee every morning, which was such a thoughtful and appreciated touch. Everything was clean and super comfortable. We felt really well looked after and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Kristy's AirBnB. The accommodation was perfect—exactly as pictured—and incredibly comfortable. Parking was a breeze, and Kristy was a fantastic host. We truly enjoyed our experience and will definitely be returning in the future.

Hands-down this was the best AirBnB experience I’ve ever had - and I’ve travelled extensively. AirBnB should do a case study on Fred and Samantha, and the service offering they provide to share a template for what best practise looks like. Great hosts, lovely room, amazing cooked breakfast each morning - prepared with local produce and a scenic location. Could not have asked for more. A fabulous stay!!
