The Downtowner house was perfect for a weekend at the lake! The location is wonderful- so easy to walk to the beach and downtown. The house was clean and had lots of amenities. The hosts were quick to communicate with and gave clear instructions. My kids appreciated the books and toys. The neighbor lady next door was very friendly too- she greeted us minutes after we arrived! One thing to note is there are a lot of stairs and no way to block them so it could be a little risky for small kids. Overall, we would definitely recommend this house and would stay here again.

Property as described. The host responded very quickly when I had issues. Unfortunately, the train runs nearby but the good news is that it’s not as active at night. Something to consider if you’re a light sleeper. Laundry in basement which was different than what I’m used to. It’s a cute house though that’s well disguised.

Another great stay here at Clear Lake thanks to Steve. We’ve stayed at this cabin twice now to do some ice fishing! Highly recommend!

This home was so nice with open floor plan. There was lots of space to spread out for conversations on two porches as well as outdoor area and game room. We had teens, small children and seniors in our group and everybody's needs were met. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking and there was lots of room for sit down or buffet style meals. Beds were comfortable. The only thing we noticed was that the master shower is quite small for large people. We would choose this home again in a minute.

I would definitely stay here again and would recommend to others!! Very clean and great location for Downtown! Was great for our group of 9! Would easily sleep more!! 3 nice bathrooms ❤️

The view was wonderful and right on the lake. We enjoyed the deck and walking out on the dock. Paxton was responsive and the beds were comfortable!

My wife and I try to host our family of 7 (5 adults, 2 kids) on a lake each summer. We all agree this was the best place we have ever stayed. The house is perfect with 4 bedrooms and additional sleeping spots if needed. The kitchen has everything possible. The refrigerator was even stocked with all sorts of condiments. There are comfortable places to sit everywhere, all with a great view of the water. The large deck overlooks the lake and was the perfect spot all day long. The dock was the favorite spot for the kids (and most adults). It was very safe and easy to walk on for all 3 generations of us. It is even illuminated in the evening. . The lake water at the end of the dock is about 4' deep with a sandy bottom. I started each morning with a dip in the water. They have the best dock ladder I have ever used. The rungs are flat and wide and extend to the lake bottom and not just 3' above the bottom. My praise is limited only by the number of characters i am allowed to use

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Josh and Katie’s house on Clear Lake, Iowa. The home was warm, inviting, and thoughtfully prepared, making it the perfect getaway. The views of the lake were stunning, wood-burning fireplace and the peaceful atmosphere was exactly what we needed to relax and recharge. Josh and Katie were incredibly accommodating and responsive.
