Beautiful pet friendly waterfront guest house!

I am really tempted at times when I rent a great place with superb hosts to not write a review recognizing that I may be kissing availability of the property goodby. Anyway, if you are single or a couple the space works. I would describe the space as cozy and comfortable and the location superb. The apartment is located in the back section of the garage. Because it is small the owners have made every inch count. The bathroom is strategically placed as a pass through between the living room and the bedroom and there is a combination clothes washer/dryer tucked in the unit too. It offers a full kitchen stuffed with food preparation, serving and cleaning items and some snacks and a welcome bottle of wine! There's even a free stranding ice maker that makes the cutest ice cubes. The view from the house ground level deck is relaxing and the land tortoise's fun to watch. If you like dogs, meet Blue. The hosts, Jan and Barry are great - responsive, entertaining, interesting and fun !!

I loved this place and the peaceful setting to just get away and relax. It's close to things to do but the best part is view and soothing atmosphere of having the water right out the back door. The set up of the house is cute and modern. I'm looking forward to coming back for another weekend in the future.

My husband and I stayed at Mike and Abby’s place for one night. As soon as we arrived, we wanted to stay the whole weekend. The property was very clean. The house was spotless and felt warm and inviting. There were many activities to enjoy, like playing the piano, using the slot machine, swimming in the indoor or outdoor pools, relaxing at the lake, taking a bubble bath, or sitting on the patio with a book. I wanted to try everything, but I made sure to get a good night's sleep, which I did. It was very peaceful and quiet. I spent some time by the lake and also enjoyed a great massage from the upstairs massage chair. Check-in was simple with clear instructions. The value of this place is incredible. Thank you for sharing your home with others. We will definitely return!

Scott was one of my favorite hosts to date! Absolutely found my home away in Houston. Ha. Seriously, the place was immaculate, welcoming and the nice pair of binoculars made for a wonderful viewing of the moon after a great day at NASA. Also yeah, literally down the street from NASA. If you are picky, this is your place. Thanks Scott!

This place is even more beautiful in person than the photos show in the listing! House was very clean, check in was easy, Katie was very responsive before and during our stay. We were in town for a wedding, and wanted a nice place to relax. The location is great, only 5-10 mins to great restaurants and the boardwalk with so much to do with your family young and old. We even had a night out downtown in Houston, which was further but not a bad drive.

I wanted to celebrate my 60th birthday with a lovely water view and with my large family. We have the added consideration of my son-in-law, who has suffered a stroke and is seriously disabled. The house at Kemah was wonderfully perfect. The views over the bay are gorgeous - even on cloudy winter days. The home is spacious and we did not feel crowded. There is an elevator, which allowed my son-in-law be upstairs with us. The home owner provides plenty of things to do, including games and puzzles, ping pong, and fuze ball. Fishing on the lovely pier is another option. There is a prep table to fillet your catch and a refrigerator designated to store it, so the kitchen fridge stays fish-smell free. We stayed in for our meals, but the house is very close to the boardwalk and you can walk to restaurants and bars. 1 of 2 ovens is labeled out of service, and so is the fireplace. Also. the dishwasher doesn’t clean well. For us, these were not problems. We all hope to stay here again!

My husband and I stayed for the weekend and let me tell you, this little gem exceeded our expectations. The place was just like the pictures so there were no surprises. Our room had everything we needed and was very clean. The location of this place was perfect! We had peace and quiet while fishing off the pier and swimming in the outdoor pool. We were truly able to relax and enjoy everything there was to offer. The hosts Mike and Abby were very nice and communicated well with us. We will definitely be back for a longer stay.

An absolute retreat! From the beginning, getting inside and settled was a breeze thanks to the great description. The rooms and living area make you feel right at home whilst on a vacay (I extended my stay it was so lovely) the backyard is so beautiful, paddle boating fishing was fun. Outside of basking in the nature, the bathroom feels so lush I felt like I was at a self service-spa! I was alone, with mostly vacant suites.. but Mike and Abby were close by, responsive, went above and beyond to ensure I had a great stay, and departure. God bless your family, and place! Thank you so much again for everything. Can’t wait to come back!

The room was great, private and quiet, which was exactly what I was looking for. Mike and Abby were very helpful and quick to respond with any questions or messages I had. I would recommend this listing to anyone wanting a peaceful stay by the water

My second time staying at Lakeside Suites and I will definitely be back again! Such a beautiful home and so well kept and clean, a perfect getaway from the busy city life. Abby was around and waved hello while we enjoyed the pool, felt right at home! Thank you Mike and Abby for a wonderful stay!
