I’m tempted to write a bad review so more dates will be available when I’m ready to come back. This was our 2nd visit and it was great again. So much to do without leaving the house. Fishing, kayaking, volleyball, badminton, ping pong, foosball, fire pit, board games, etc. Great price too! The only problem this time was that the WiFi was a bit spotty, even after a couple resets. Probably for the best though! Looking forward to our next visit soon hopefully.

My family and I loved this home at Lake Glenville! It had everything we needed. The views were incredible, and we really enjoyed kayaking, canoeing, riding the pedal boat, building campfires, and relaxing in the hot tub. We booked a boat tour with Lake Glenville Scenic Waterfall Cruises with Captain Mark. We saw a bald Eagle and the baby’s nest. We would gladly stay here again and hope to come in the fall sometime to see the foliage. I didn’t want to leave. Happ’s Place restaurant was great, and we enjoyed the shops in Cashiers and downtown Highlands, as well as hiking to a few waterfalls.

This house has it all. We had a mix of sunshine and rain during our stay, but that didn't stop this house from entertaining. Everything was set up well, instructions were clear and the host had great communication. Absolutely zero complaints and hope to revisit sometime

Amanda and her husband maintained a really good property here it was clean well laid out well lit everything was functioning with a few problems we had as far as drainage of the drain. She was already working on. She was flexible as far as my family coming to town to visit with a sick relative for the holidaysoverall, just a great visit highly recommend Amanda and her family.

This is our second time staying here for new years and it was great as usual. It is very peaceful at this property. Very clean and perfect for our group size. We would stay again.

I can't say enough about Lisa's home! It had everything listed and more. The thoughtfulness in the little details made this the best experience we have had with an Airbnb. This home is beautiful and the amenities at the lake were perfect. Our family had a wonderful week and hope to do it again in the future.

Beautiful house in the middle of the peaceful woods right above Lake Hartwell that has everything you ever dreamed of and is wonderful for any time of the year! The owners are really friendly and have equipped the space with everything you need for a perfect stay, great for both vacation and remote work. The two-story indoor space is comfortable and tastefully decorated. The spacious upstairs porch with table, chairs, grill, and TV is also a great living and working area. Plus there’s a covered dock with chairs to enjoy the lake scene while soaking up the sun, kayaks to explore the inlets, and even a firepit for well-rounded outdoor living!

We spent Easter weekend here. As we drove in the wild azaleas and dogwoods were blooming, and everything afterwards was just as beautiful and peaceful. My teenagers loved kayaking and my daughter liked the pond so well she slept on the daybed on the porch. I appreciated the feather pillows and reverse osmosis water. Attention has been paid to every detail. I called my Nana to show her the antique desks. My small children enjoyed the toys and my middle son using the pully bucket on the porch. My daughter celebrated a birthday over our stay, more movie guests showed up than expected and I just couldn't turn these kids away. Our hosts were so kind. They of course charged a little extra as was clearly understood via the contract, they were very understanding and polite. The lock to the boat seems to be jamed, the downstairs fireplace is currently non operational, and I'm not sure I'll get back a thumb drive I forgot, but this family has worked hard to create really special place. Five star

This little cottage on Lake Hartwell was awesome. The back porch view of the lake was our favorite. Love how cute it was decorated including the vintage sink & stove/oven. Would highly recommend this place!

a wonderful setting on a big private lot. the large screenen in porch and the boat bock were great places to hang out and view the lake and scenery.

This property was fantastic, as was the communication with host, Dylan. The house was quaint, well decorated and most importantly, spotless when we showed arrived. When confirming check-out instructions, the host responded within minutes and made our exit as smooth and painless as possible. House is in a quiet, beautiful part of the Georgia mountains with delicious lake-side food less than a 10 minute drive away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, loved this house and it was perfect for the weekend away that we needed. We look forward to coming back and highly recommend this property to anybody interested. Big thanks to host, Dylan, for the great experience and prompt communication throughout!

If you want a quiet place to connect with family and nature, this is it. Exactly as described in the listing and the photos show. We enjoyed all the area has to offer, but also found so much joy just hanging out at the cabin! There's some huge bass waiting for the right bait in the lake. In the evening, listen to the sounds of nature and keep an eye out for bear and turkey. We were fortunate enough to spot both this week! Check-in was easy, our hosts left good clear instructions for check out and the entire week was perfect... It went by all too fast! We would love to return again soon!

Joann/Monique, is an outstanding and incredibly responsive host—warm, thoughtful, and accommodating, even when we had last-minute changes. Her kindness and engaging conversation made the experience feel even more personal and memorable. The cabin itself is spectacular, with breathtaking views of the lake and a perfect blend of rustic charm and elegant touches. Every detail is thoughtfully considered—from the fully stocked kitchen to the array of activities right at your fingertips. Whether you’re relaxing by the water, cooking up a meal, or just taking in the peaceful surroundings, everything you need is right there. This place is a true gem and an ideal retreat for all ages. It’s rare to find a stay where both the host and the setting are equally lovely. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind, reconnect, or simply enjoy a beautiful piece of the world.

We stayed at Lizard Lodge for 5 nights and it was absolutely perfect. The cabin is absolutely beautiful and exactly as shown in the listing only better in person! We loved the location and how peaceful the surroundings of the cabin were. Enjoyed walking down to the lake and fishing a bit. Enjoyed the fire pit one night and enjoyed the hot tub twice and sitting on the swing down on the dock and on the front porch. Enjoyed having dinner on the back deck and watching the birds. Saw beautiful cardinals every day. The beds were very comfortable - slept great! Most of all, I can’t say enough about Sabir and co-host, Jennifer. They were very helpful and responded to any questions we had extremely quickly. This cabin was perfect for my family and they all agree how beautiful and comfortable it was. I would not hesitate to stay at Lizard Lodge again!

The 5-star hype is legit! Tom's place was exactly what I was looking for and needed! Tom was very proactive with communication from reservation to check-in to check-out. Not a single problem or issue during my stay. So peaceful and tranquil right on the lake. Absolutely would recommend for anyone to stay here, just not on the days I reserve it for because I will definitely be coming back! Thanks Tom for everything!

Beautiful place for solitude and a serene quiet birthday. Amazing views, clean spacious accommodations. Little details matter and they covered them all including labeling the light switches! Loved it all!

My family has stated at this location numerous times since 2018. Situated on a small man-made lake in Cherry Log, the setting is very serene. We've stayed at a few of the cabins surrounding this lake and we generally prefer this location. The current owner (Corey) took over in 2021/2022 and has maintained the charm of the cabin and has made some upgrades (new furnishings, games, improved kayaks, and I believe an improved firepit). His communication was top-notch when my wife had a question about the location upon arrival. We would definitely look to stay again in the near future.
