Covered Bridge Cottage

Located on a farm in the heart of Amish country and amid one of the largest concentrations of antiques in America, we are central to many attractions, yet quaint and secluded enough to provide a relaxing retreat. The Covered Bridge Cottage started out in the 1800’s as a mill office and over the years was converted into a home through several additions. The house has been in our family for close to a century and it was our honor to restore it to a comfortable, energy efficient, durable home.

It is our desire to cultivate a restful, God-honoring atmosphere in which you feel safe and relaxed. Should you choose to stay in for a movie night, get outside and explore the peaceful countryside, or visit a local tourist attraction, we hope you feel "at home away from home" here! We encourage quality time spent with loved ones, and we hope and pray that Spruce & Hearth provides the space for that. Solo travelers in searth of a pleasant place to rest and rejuvenate are also always welcome!

The Innkeepers Quarters at Witmer Estate, HOT TUB

Soak up the modern and vintage charm of the Innkeepers Quarters at Witmer Estate! The 2nd floor bedroom & bath have just been renovated to add a luxurious tile shower and soaking tub, King bedroom w Smart TV creating a beautiful 2nd floor suite. Hot tub open all year. The Innkeepers Quarters is attached to the main house but is a completely private unit. (Please note some noise can be heard through the walls) Close to area attractions, Sight and Sound Theaters, The Amish Village.

The Pump Maker’s House Marshallton Historic Beauty

Situated in the historic village of Marshallton, this home is furnished in country style with lovely antiques and vintage items. The first half of the house was built in 1790 with an addition added in 1830. This house was the childhood home of George McFarland, pump maker. He was the town plumber and made wooden pumps in a shop in the rear. We have just completed an entire rehabilitation with brand new plumbing, electric, hvac, as well as brand new bathrooms and kitchen.

The Mineral House of West Chester

Unique home in the heart of West Chester, tastefully renovated with fantastic detail, walking distance to all the dining, bars, shops and parks the borough has to offer. This home will bring you back to WC again and again. Do not let the staircase frighten you, it was designed by the late great architect George A Matuszewski for this unique space. This cozy little cabin is nestled under the tall trees in the Dutch Cousin Campground. Enjoy a relaxing evening around the firepit listening to all the sounds nature has to offer. Frog Hollow Cottage is a newly renovated getaway located in the heart of the Chester County’s rolling farmland and equestrian community. Overlooking beautiful pastures, the cottage was formerly the large painting studio of Delaware Valley artist Peter Sculthorpe. The studio has been re-imagined as a peaceful retreat for families, friends and couples.

The loft is in a newly renovated barn, located on our small farm in Gap PA. The location is approximately 15 min from Lancaster County’s main attractions.
