The Rose and Crown, is a community pub/restaurant located in the village and there is also a small community shop. It is only 1 mile to Slaley Hall with its excellent restaurant, leisure facilities and golf course.

From the luxury of the cosy cabin, you can enjoy a dining experience inside the Hut or step outside and dine amongst the nature of the woodland. Enjoy a BBQ / Fire pit in the summer air or take comfort during the colder months. Charlie’s Hut is a spa suite in the woods, featuring a Hot Tub with cover, an outdoor bath which can also be used as a cold plunge.

Welcome to our 12-person bunkhouse within grounds of the picturesque Garesfield Golf Club, just 30 minutes from Newcastle upon Tyne, it provides a superb base for a range of outdoor activities such as golf on site and 10 other courses within a 20 minute radius, scenic walks and mountain bike trails in the nearby Chopwell Woods. The Club House over the courtyard is open to the public and will happily accommodate any catering and hospitality needs of guests.
