This is a beautiful area of NC with great access to many places to kayak, such as Merchant’s Millpond State Park, Bennett’s Creek, Little River, and the Perquimans River (that boat launch is just down the road). This is our second visit to the Cottage; we’d happily stay there again. The kitchen and linens were well stocked. The beds are very comfortable. They’ve added a deck since our first visit, which we enjoyed. Be sure to visit Layden’s Store up the road! In all, a great place to stay.

Very pleasant stay. House was exceptionally clean. Details were accurate for check-in, check-out, etc. Great for pets - there is no trace that they were ever there. Good size & grassy back yard for those walks. Victoria made a great effort to communicate with us. We now have family in the area and expect to return!

We were in town for just a short time and we were glad Kim's place was available, we had stayed here in 2024 and it worked out perfect for us.

Debbie is a wonderful host. we have stayed at Trestle House 3 times and it is always a great experience

This is an adorable historic home, safe neighborhood, and easy 6 block walk to the downtown shopping and dining. Our only complaint was about the beds. The master bedroom (down) is comfy and spacious. The beds upstairs were less than comfortable and single beds. In fact, one was a day bed that was too short for any of us girls. Definitely needs better mattresses, but the house, the charm, the walkability, the town all made up for the not-perfect sleeping. We would definitely rent again, but probably not for 4 people.

We stayed here while fishing the Bassmaster Elite Series tournament at the Pasquotank. Perfect place for fisherman with plenty of parking for multiple trucks and boats. A quiet, safe, country setting. Host was very friendly and responsive. We will definitely stay here again if we come back to this area.

Only one issue. My husband and I stayed in the cottage and there was not enough hot water for 2 showers. We don't take long showers.

We loved our stay at Erik and Lia’s. It’s a beautiful house in a beautiful area. They thought of everything and more! We would love to stay again.
