The Strawberry Box - luxury eco barn conversion

The Strawberry Box is a luxuriously converted old tractor barn located on our working strawberry farm in rural Suffolk. South facing with extensive views across the rolling countryside, it is self contained and private, perfect for a quiet relaxing holiday, a romantic break or a base for exploring the rich heritage and beautiful villages around us. There are good pubs within comfortable walking distance and footpaths and narrow lanes to explore close by - or just take a wander around the farm.

This lovely private cottage within 20acre gardens has 1 double bedroom, fully equipped kitchen with single oven, 4 hobs, fridge freezer, washing machine, microwave, table and chairs making it suitable for longer or short stays. The bathroom has full size bath with power shower overhead, and the sitting room 2 double sofas, smart tv and wood burner giving the cottage a really cosy feel. Guests will have access to the well known Green Island Gardens and Colchester is only a 5 minute drive away.

The perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The last in a row of westerly facing cottages, perfect to watch the evening sun go down . From the front garden or even laying in bed, watch the tide slip in and out, the fishing boats come and go and live, for a while, in a world moving at a slower pace.

The Stables

The stables are a light airy open plan barn conversion finished in 2018. A sumptuous king size bed. Your own private entrance with your own kitchen with a starter pack all ready for your stay including continental breakfast for one morning There is Wi-fi within the barn. We are 20 minutes to Mersea island, 5 minutes to Colchester zoo and 10 minutes from the magnificent Layer Marney Tower.

The Dell - Country Holiday Let

The Dell sleeps up four guests and is located in the small village of White Colne, only 15 minutes away from the oldest recorded town in the UK, Colchester. On the Essex-Suffolk border you have a great base to explore East Anglia’s towns and attractions. The cottage is in the very heart of medieval Lavenham and yet it is close to great views and stunning country walks. Lavenham has many fine restaurants - the best of which is literally a few steps away - and family-friendly activities. You’ll love my place because of the very comfy beds and the cosiness. My place is good for couples and small dogs.
