Great host, great house, great location! This is a very private house that is not far from town, only 20 minutes from the ferry. The house is clean, well appointed and spacious. It’s right on the water which gives hours of enjoyable relaxing both day and night. Speaking of night, you haven’t seen a night sky like this, it’s really amazing! This home was the perfect temporary home base for me and my family as we explored southern Nova Scotia. The host is excellent at communicating clearly. My family of 4 was more than comfortable during our stay here. We’d definitely stay again! Thank you for a great stay!

Every step of the way - John was a a great communicator, making sure we had all the information we needed for our visit and the surrounding area. His cozy get away, is surrounded by beautiful nature, very private and yet only 10 minutes from the town of Annapolis Royal with all the amenities. The open fireplace, with lots of DRY wood and kindling was a bonus as the weather was stormy during our visit. John also checked in with us a few times to make sure we could get in and out of the driveway during the storm. 2 lovely balconies would be perfect in the summer for sitting out and looking into the trees - and which we were able to use this trip for barbequeing in the snow storm:) Very dog friendly as located off the main road and km of trails right out the door for walking off leash or snowshoeing. Would absolutely return at any time of year!

Bertrand's place was very nice and well designed. His response to messages were extremely fast. If you book one of his cabins make sure to book the sauna. It was very private and relaxing. Thank you Bertrand for a wonderful weekend and we hope to return someday.

I have been thinking what I would include in this review since we stepped foot on Ginny’s beautiful property. None of what I’ve thought about saying scratch the surface of how amazing the property is. The photos don’t do it justice! The property is in amazing condition and well appointed with comfortable linens and furniture. We particularly appreciated the abundant supply of dark towels to help with washing everything from sticky fingers to removing mascara. Ginny has thought of everything you could possibly need, want or need before we did. Everything you might need or want on a whim has been thoughtfully provided by Ginny. Oh, and on the topic of Ginny… a better host has never existed! They’re so thoughtful, proactive and kind. Thank you for such a lovely and relaxing stay. Our only regret is not spending more time at your lovely property.

We had the best girls’ weekend here! The house was big and spacious—plenty of room for all of us to spread out, hang out, and relax. It was spotless when we arrived, which we really appreciated. Everything felt fresh, tidy, and clearly well taken care of. The host was awesome—friendly, responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed. We did cold dips in the lake (freezing but fun!), then sat around the outdoor fire with blankets, music, and wine. Honestly, it was the perfect mix of chill and fun. The whole place felt private and peaceful, and we never felt cramped. Highly recommend!

Super schöne Unterkunft im Wald. Komplett ausgestattet. Die überdachte Terrasse ermöglicht auch bei schlechtem Wetter draußen zu sein. Der nahe gelegene See lädt zum verweilen ein. Alles sehr sauber. Der Gastgeber ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

we are family of 6. The children loved all if the extra toys to play with. There was plenty of room for everyone. This lake house was clean and very relaxing. The hosts had everything you would need plus more! we enjoyed every minute of our stay.

I am not going to give away their secret but they went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. You will have to book to see how they look after you. Their home was exceptional roomy and extremely clean. Very well stocked for everything you need.

Beautiful location, private, pristine, peaceful. Lots of space, well set up for water activities, fireside chats, and relaxing the day away. The sauna is a wonderful addition. Well stocked with lots of towels and firewood, great layout with an open kitchen and comfortable living room.

We were so pleased with our stay! Beautiful location, wonderful sandy bottom lake, privacy, comfort, very well equipped kitchen. We will definitely book again!

Beautiful spot nestled in the woods on a gorgeous lake. Plenty of outdoor activities and two large cabins for those rainy days. Can’t recommend enough if you are looking for a secluded get away.

Nous avons loué le chalet de Ben pour le Congrès Mondial Acadien. Son emplacement était idéal pour accéder à toutes les festivités (Yarmouth, Clare et Argyle). Ben a été un hôte très attentionné tout au long de notre séjour. Le chalet est très chaleureux et convivial. Tout était à notre disposition afin de rendre notre séjour agréable. Merci Ben!

It was a lovely little place. Had everything you would ever want.

The place was surrounded by beautiful nature and right in front of the lake. The host provided kayak, fishing rods that we could enjoy at the lake side. A beautiful place for stargazing too. We had a great time together as a family. The host was very responsive to our questions during our stay.

We felt like we had a break from the world. It was peaceful, very cozy, charming, and comfortable. We slept like babies, even though it was cooler weather and we had to put wood in the stove for heat (something we enjoyed immensely). Kitchen was reasonably equipped, so we just cooked our own meals. If you’re ok with a few bugs and spiders here and there (nothing dangerous), you’ll love it. We plan to be back.

My stay here was absolutely lovely and exceeded my expectations. Definitely the best set up cabin I have been to! Tge hosts were great. You can see how much love, care and work that has gone into this spot. Cannot wait to stay again in the future!

My family and I loved Mark’s place. From the moment we arrived we felt right at home. The cabin was very clean and had everything for you that you could think of. My kids loved waking up every morning and going on the lake fishing. At night after a day out we would come back and light a fire at the fire pit lakeside. I would highly recommend this place and hope to come back again next year.

Such a cute little cabin in a beautiful location. Only stayed for a night and during a very chilly time of year, but would love to come back when it’s warmer!

This cottage is a gem and highly recommended for anyone seeking peace, comfort, and a touch of nature's magic. This was our third visit and we are already planning viait #4. The cottage was just as expected from the photos and description. The grandchildren loved going to the lake each day , just hanging out in hammock and playing in the cottage. They would like to come back again and so would we.
