Take in all the views at this unique property settled in the heart of Amish country. Nestled on a rare peninsula in Independence, Iowa, The Lake House is surrounded by all the sights and sounds of nature. Enjoy fishing, paddle boating, and swimming on the private 10-acre lake. To the West, enjoy the Wapsipinicon River. Your stay includes a paddleboat for exploring the private lake. Kayaks are available for rent. Catch-and-release fishing on the private lake means no fishing license is required.

The Guest House under Rose

The view is priceless, its nestled on farmland. A mile down the road, you'll discover a one lane red bridge. Go five miles to the south & there lies Pinicon Ridge Park. You can hike the trails, go kayaking, & fish the Wapsipinicon River. Just 30 miles from the Cedar Rapids airport. There is a man-made pond five miles south of the Guest House. Its four acres long. You may fish or kayak this beautiful area. Within the last year, 14 clients complimented the host on how welcoming the place is.

Not suitable for children under 12, we strictly enforce no children and no pets. Outdoor relaxing space, gas grill. Cozy Cottage

Our place is close to everything! A 5-10 minute drive to just about anything in town. Newbo District and downtown are 5 min by car and 15 min on a bike. The bike path is 1/2 mile from the house and easily accessible. You will enjoy the quiet wooded location of this completely renovated "cozy" 500 Sq. Ft. one bedroom cottage. There is a fire pit and wood for a nice relaxing night, if you choose to stay in. Check out my other listing next door. 3 bed 2 bath if you need more space.

Historic Ausadie Building Studio Apartment 2-B

Ausadie Building is a registered Local & National Historic property, located in the Medical & Downtown District. Only a few minutes walk to many entertainment venues, museums, galleries, four live theaters, Coe College and many churches and restaurants. The building has been beautifully restored and offers a courtyard with a pool, flower gardens and a peaceful Koi pond. Laundry and a fully equipped gym are also included. Our secure building will feel like your home away from home!

155 years old, the original Prayer Meeting Hall of Amana Iowa will welcome you to stay in the oversized suite. A large king size bed and the two-person whirlpool tub will make your stay comfortable and relaxing. After a day of shopping and strolling on the main road, stop by one of the three wineries or the brewery all within walking distance of Sandstone Haus. Come back to your suite and slip into one of our custom robes while you fill the whirlpool for a night or relaxation.

You’ll also find that Farley Speedway and Tristate Raceway are minutes away. Nature awaits!!

Home by the River

Situated alongside the Mississippi River, wildlife abounds in every season. With eagles nesting nearby, there is always something new to see from the beautiful sunrises, cruise ships passing by, and watching the commerce of the barges and railroad right out the front window! This home has been recently refurbished and sits at the edge of our 15 acres. You can see us and visit with us if you like, or you can maintain privacy 10 acres away!
