The Boathouse - Seclusion by the sea

A perfect base to explore West Cork Surrounded by wild coast, ancient land and protected wetlands. Wild swim at the beautiful beach only a 150m from your doorstep. Beautifully converted using natural building materials, the space is light, peaceful and open, heated with a cosy wood burner. The interior is handmade, restored or salvaged by us. We provide sourdough, homemade jam, a homemade tipple & a few staples on arrival. A rural retreat right in the heart of vibrant West Cork.

Mountain Ash Cottage

The stone cottage which is over 250 years old has been recently renovated and retains its traditional style: stone and white-washed walls, inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove. There are also modern conveniences: heating, Wifi, TV with Netflix and fully equipped kitchen. Downstairs there is an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area with a vaulted ceiling and the bathroom. Upstairs is a cosy double bedroom. Outside guests have their own patio and garden area with seating

A 200 year-old stone cottage in the beautiful Roughty valley, close to the village of Kilgarvan, the beautiful heritage town of Kenmare and also Killarney and its famous National Park. The cottage maintains many original features including the original stone floor and hearth. It’s set on its own private garden where you can truly enjoy the peace and quiet of this amazing place and is also an ideal base for discovering so much including the Ring of Kerry and the Beara Penninsula.

This hand crafted Tree House is nestled in a tranquil oasis of trees and ferns and is an ideal getaway to wind down, connect with nature and recharge your batteries. And if you’re feeling adventurous the picturesque Lough Allua is less than 5km away offering fishing and kayaking, and this area of natural beauty is perfect for cycling and hill walking with many official signposted routes.

Charming Cabin at the Foot of Douce Mountain

Douce Mountain cabin is a charming self contained little house situated at the foot of Douce Mountain. There is a living space with a stove and a kitchenette on the groundfloor . A ladder leads the loft with 2 beds. It is a very quiet place surrounded y nature. Our other guesthouse is about 100 metres further down . Our own farmhouse is about 500 metres away. It is ideal for someone looking for a very quiet place to relax and immerse themselves in nature.

The Turf Cottage

Built with locally sourced timber and stone, and finished with custom cabinetry and artisan furnishings, it’s a one-of-a-kind retreat—perfect after hiking, cycling, farm life, meditation, or nights of lively trad music.
