even though you were not the house gives you the feeling that you are right on the lake but fireman's beach is only three blocks away from the house and it's close to everything you need it was a great experience we will definitely go through this host again

Great space, very clean and right across the street from pymatuning state park. Very close to the water. We loved the fire pit and patio. Great communication and flexibility from the host. This is a great choice for an easy getaway. Would definitely recommend!

Staying in Gene's home felt like staying with family. He truly is the most generous and thoughtful host we've ever encountered: the fridge is stocked with loads of beverages (wine, beer, canned cocktails, bottled water); breakfast foods: eggs, English muffins, cheese, Canadian bacon. He's also stocked the pantry with plenty of snacks, cooking essentials, e.g., seasonings, oils, plus all the cooking utensils and items you'll need. The house is well-laid out, comfortable and private. Beautiful views of nature and the creek. We loved streaming at night on the cozy sectional sofa -- I fell asleep on it 2 night in a row. Other thoughtful touches: candles on a timer, loads of books all over the house, double-filtered water from the tap, dog-friendly ice melt, dog poop bags, cozy throw blankets. We look forward to returning. Thanks, Gene, for all your communication (and patience with my many questions) and your spirit of generosity.

What a beautiful home, very clean, well laid out and plenty of room for all of us to stay and relax for a long weekend to attend our daughters wedding. Host was VERY responsive and very friendly. Could not have asked for a better place to stay during this wonderful event. Loved seeing the rabbits playing in the yard at night and the chipmunks playing on the patio every morning.

This was our second time back to this beautiful cottage. This cottage is perfect. The location is perfect to get up and go do anything you like. It is super cozy to just relax on rainy days. We love the convenience of just kicking back and enjoying the fire right in the backyard. We are an easy going low key family who loves to just enjoy the company of each other and that is exactly what we get to do here. This cottage is the perfect getaway but yet keeps it feeling like home away from home. We are already talking about our next visit!

My friends and I used to own a camp in Conneaut but we decided to sell it since we didn't use it often. We found Kimberly's place and it was much nicer than ours and bigger too. This place is ideal for anyone visiting the Conneaut area. Close to the lake and the restaurants but sits peacefully in the woods if that's what you're looking for. We did have a short glitch with the heat but Kimberly responded immediately and had solutions before we even got cold. Then she followed up to make sure everything was still in order. We'll most likely be staying here each year moving forward.

This house was amazing! Beautiful, comfortable and spacious. The beds were very comfortable and the neighborhood quiet for peaceful nights sleep. It was a great place to gather and make memories. Loved the large couches on both levels. The kitchen being open to the living room area was so nice to have everyone still all together and chatting while also preparing meals. It was very close to town with nice variety of restaurants to choose from. It was also great having three full bathrooms. The house was very clean and provided all we needed for weekend getaway. Our stay was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The cabin was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and had all the comforts we needed — from a fully equipped kitchen to soft, warm blankets perfect for curling up by the fireplace. The setting was peaceful and serene. We loved waking up to the sound of birds and enjoying our morning coffee on the porch with a view of French Creek. In the evening, the fire pit and hot tub were perfect for relaxing and unwinding. The host was incredibly kind and responsive, offering thoughtful touches throughout the cabin. It was clear they genuinely care about their guests’ experience. We couldn’t have asked for a better retreat — whether you’re looking for a quiet solo escape or a romantic weekend, this cabin is a gem. We’ll definitely be back!

This place is a dream! The cabin was better than described. We wanted for nothing! Checking in was seamless. We enjoyed lazy days of reading and fishing and hanging out with our 7 month old and our pup. Winnie left us fully stocked—even firewood for the wood burning stove which we thoroughly enjoyed. It was more than enough to keep us super toasty during our stay. The river and surrounding area was perfect for hiking (plan to use a baby carrier rather than a stroller). The cabin is cozy and spacious too. The kitchen was well stocked and was perfect for cooking a big pot of chili to feast on. There were ample art supplies, books, and games. We sincerely hope that Winnie will have us back again as we can see this cabin becoming a family favorite.

Wonderful place with an excellent host! An unmatched value for sure.👍🏻👍🏻 It is a distance to a full-fledged grocery or beverage store so I would suggest to arrive with special necessities that you may require.

The hosts were super helpful and great at messaging! We loved our stay, the place was super cute and the had lots of items for cooking and some extra spices, plus everything was labeled for easy access. Beds were comfy and spacious. Would definitely recommend!

Adorable and cozy cabin tucked into the woods, everything about our stay was wonderful! Everything was very clean and so nice! Beautiful views and serene atmosphere, there was no road or city noise, which, with me being from a big city, was very nice! We came to town to visit family and it was perfect for our needs as our family lives just up the road. Totally recommend and will most definitely stay again! ❤️

Initially when we arrived, I was nervous by how small the cabin was & wondering if it would accommodate me & my family however, there was nice pull out couch in the living room that easily accomadated 2 of our kids. Joyce also made sure to provide everything we needed from towels & covers down to the toothpaste we needed to brush our teeth. The best part about the cabin was the back yard which was big enough for all 7 of our kids to run around & the highlight was the fire pit, which provided enough seating for everyone to sit comfortably & roast marshmellows. Would definitely book again!
