Nanny’s Cottage

Conveniently close to Fairfield Glade Golf courses, and other activities. Nanny’s Cottage is 300sqft with 1 full bed room w/ queen bed, full bath, washer and dryer, and WiFi. It has big picturesque windows for lots of natural lighting, but also blackout blinds to darken the inside. The outside of the property boasts a beautiful pond and dock to have a relaxing place to sit and enjoy the sunshine and fresh air. To enjoy the outside on those chilly nights we have a fire pit with outdoor sitting.

Multi level cliff side cabin

This unique elevated cabin is built over a natural spring and has a private rock shelter patio and fire pit area. A drop down deck creates a very open feeling punctuated by views of the stream through the trees. Built mostly from timber and stone harvested from the property the cabin features Oak hard wood floors and large glass windows and French doors. The cabin does not have a kitchen or bathroom. A large common area with an outdoor kitchen and bathhouse is less than a minute walk away.

The Caney Fork River borders the 63 acre farm, which connects directly to over 60,000 acres of protected wilderness where you have free access to miles of hiking trails, magical waterfalls, historic homesteads and impressive caves. At the cabin, you can listen to the sounds of nature as you take in the scenic valley views of Big Bottom and the mountain views of Scott’s Gulf State Park.

The Restful Retreat

This beautiful ranch style brick home sits on 24 acres of mostly wooded property. From the front porch you have a wonderful view of Hinch Mountain. There are 3 beds and 2 baths with a large open kitchen and dining room. There is a laundry room with washer and dryer and additional playroom and mud room. We welcome you to our country cabin, a wonderful place for a couple’s getaway or quiet corner all to yourself. Enjoy the clean, country air and starry night skies away from city lights; on a quiet, low traffic road facing woods and farmland with field, pond, and forest behind. We are just across the field from a working dairy farm and less than a mile from the dairy farm store and creamery where you can find fresh meat, eggs, milk, and some of the country’s best hand-dipped ice cream!

Off I-40 …exit 290 and easy drive to restaurants, shopping, wineries, breweries, waterfalls and hiking. The Cottage offers comforts of home in a beautiful park-like setting a few miles on the east side of Cookeville and above Algood. The Cottage is perfect for remote work (high speed WI-FI/VPN/ethernet) and is a great value with features like a king bed in a cozy bedroom with blackout - perfect for sleeping . The full kitchen is great for cooking with fresh coffee. Adventures galore!

You will have a large deck that faces the pond, private parking, complete kitchen facilities, washer and dryer, and a large bathroom. You won’t find a more peaceful & serene setting. The pond is stocked with 4 types of fish, so bring your gear. You can watch the hawks, ducks maybe even some deer. Everything you need is provided whether you stay a night or a week.
