The cottage sits up on the slope above our smaller Mickey's Cottage (also sleeps 4) with huge sea and beach views. Five minutes drive (3km) to shops (7 days a week), and a choice of three village pubs. Spend your days in rockpools, or reading in your private cove, then home to the turf fire and fall asleep listening to the sound of the waves. It is situated off the Atlantic way, close to Donegal airport and a 7 minute walk to carrickfinn beach.Local pubs,shops and restaurants are within a 3 mile radius. Ideal area for fishing,hill walking,pony trekking and kayaking. Boat trips are available to local islands i.e Arranmore,Tory and Gola. Mount errigal and Glenveagh national park are also close by.

Paddys thatched cottage is a recently renovated property built circa 1880 set on 7 acres of farmland & still retains the original features/character including the internal exposed stone wall & large fireplace making it very cosy. This area is very popular for trail walking in the hills or the purpose built walkways. Outdoor activities are plentiful such as kayaking, sea swimming, guided rock climbing & golfing. If the weather doesn't permit you can always light the stove & put the feet up.
