We were a party of 5 adults, 1 teenager and 2 dogs. There was plenty of space for us all. The kitchen was well equipped and the big round table was great for food and games. The surroundings are stunning and we enjoyed watching the birds and pheasants. The house was very clean and comfortable. I love the welcome map idea. Joel and Justin provided details beforehand and were very responsive to any questions. All had a great time and were so lucky with the weather would go again and would not hesitate to stay here again. The outdoor bath was a lovely touch! Lakeside spa is worth a visit too if you have time. Parkrun in Folly Foot park was also fun on Sat morning. A beautiful park on the edge of Windermere where you can swim too. The walk around the dam from the house is a nice hilly in places walk. So much to do loved it all. Go stay and have your own adventure 😊

Jo & Ian are fantastic hosts! Really friendly and helpful, they responded quickly & shared local recommendations, too. It was a treat to have separate living & sleeping areas & the bathroom was great, too. We loved the home-made jams & meeting your lovely dogs! Thank you - we’d definitely recommend & return!

Sams place was even better than the photos show! The location is stunning and Claughton Hall and the servants quarters were perfect for a lovely weekend getaway. Sam was really attentive when messaged and responded really quickly to any questions we had. Overall, I would recommend this a premium place for anyone wanting a break to just relax and recharge.

Stunning accommodation with some of the best views I’ve stayed in. Dolphins popping out the water in the morning and incredible sunsets. The house is so nice and warm that even after being in the ocean minutes earlier it was like a giant hug. Wonderful place

We had a wonderful stay at 59 Kirkgate in Dumfries. Ben and Vicky’s communication was excellent—friendly, helpful, and responsive. Their flexibility around our arrival and departure was much appreciated. The cottage is beautifully appointed and extremely comfortable, with standout beds that made for restful nights after active days outdoors. It’s a perfect base for exploring Dumfries and Galloway, from coastlines to hills. We especially enjoyed the Multiverse, which Ben and Vicky kindly recommended. The cottage has everything for a relaxing break—well-equipped kitchen, thoughtful touches like a gin trolley and milk frother, and a cosy log fire. The central heating kept things toasty too. Our dog was also warmly welcomed, with bowls and a pet-friendly vibe throughout. All in all, 59 Kirkgate is a true home away from home. We’d return in a heartbeat!

Sunny bank mill is a lovely, spacious house which gave us a wonderful place to get the whole family of 7 adults and 6 children together for Christmas. It’s a beautiful location too although we had very low cloud but good walks to the lake and onto Torver Common. The house is really well equipped for a big group, the two tv lounges are a big bonus with children and Daphne was helpful and responsive to all my questions. This made for a very special Christmas for us.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Dan's house in Penrith from 29 April to 2 May. The house was impeccably clean and thoughtfully stocked with everything a guest could need, making us feel completely at home. Dan is an exceptional host—warm, hospitable, and truly dedicated to ensuring his guests have the best experience. My kids love the Swallows and Amazons books so to be able to stay here was truly like being in a storybook. The accommodation itself was a great balance between keeping the old world charm but with a modern touch. We came in winter and it was great, we hope to be back one year in summer.

A hidden gem,spacious throughout, kitchen great size and very well equipped.Separate laundry and games room available, great for after dinner entertainment ! Idyllic location, beautiful garden, short stroll to lake shore with canoes for hire from owner, we had fabulous time canoeing. Walking,biking,boating on the doorstep we didnt use the cars the whole weekend. We highly recommend this property you won't be disappointed !!!

We would 100% recommend staying here. It was so beautiful and relaxing and we will absolutely want to come back again in the future. The place was gorgeous, views were beautiful, the pub ‘The Fenwick’ was lovely we walked to and from. Loved the chickens who stayed right by our side the whole stay! Just amazing. We loved our stay. It was very peaceful even though it was Easter weekend. It’s great for dogs with a good enclosed garden but also a short walk down to the lakeside with lovely walks. The chapel is very well laid out with everything you need for a great getaway. We loved this place and will be sure to return

We really enjoyed our stay, the house was clean & spacious and perfect for our family of four. We especially enjoyed the view from the loft room and the balcony area.

Lovely lodge, beautiful surroundings. Our children (age 4 and 7) really enjoyed the hot tub. Going out on the boat was beautiful - request buoyancy vests in advance. House clean and comfortable. Well equipped for cooking.

An amazing stay for our Easter weekend getaway! The location is beautiful, waking up overlooking the lake was a daily high. The cabin was extremely spacious and clean - the photos for us didn’t quite do it justice - and the hot tub is well maintained. The only minor things I would comment on would be that the welcome pack is very basic for a 5* stay and that the hot tub maintenance gentleman came to empty the hot tub an hour before check-out on our last day, coming onto the cabin decking without notice. But overall, amazing stay, we’d do it again!

Absolutely loved our stay here. Pictures do not do this place justice, easily one of the nicest if not the nicest AirBnb I’ve ever stayed in. Great amenities for 4 adults and a big big hot tub! It was so peaceful being able to look out of the windows / decking and watch the wildlife too. Can’t wait to revisit, thankyou!

an incredible few nights away at The Tranquil Otter for my partners birthday. From booking to checking out, we were left fully satisfied. clean, accessible and in a lovely location with access to a private row boat to explore the lake. We have just returned from our Easter break at this beautiful lodge, the pictures don't do this place justice, it's beautiful, absolutely spotless and has everything you could need and more. We had use of the kayak which was brilliant fun and the surroundings are just stunning. The Host are great people and were quick to answer any questions I asked, they had a hamper waiting for us which was so generous of them. We would definitely return in the future to explore more of the beautiful sights as it's in a perfect location 30 mins from Lake Windermere and about 25 mins from Morecambe Bay. 5 Stars from us. Loved my stay here. Would definitely be going back for another weekend. Wish we could stay for longer than 2 nights as it went very quick. Hot tub was amazing and peaceful at night. It is spacious for 2 people and I have really enjoyed it. Just like the pictures. There is not a lot to do near by however if you don’t mind driving to a few places I would recommend.
