A Shepherd’s Retreat: Stunning Mountain View

Nestled at the foot of Whitehorse mountain in the midst of the North Cascades, a Shepherd’s Retreat is a working sheep farm. The farm is one of the few historic homestead farms in Snohomish County. Located within the North Cascades there is great hiking amazing views within a half hour drive. The town of Darrington is 5 miles away with restaurants, a pharmacy and grocery. The farmhouse has been recently updated and restored to allow guests maximum comfort, but able to live close to the land.

Only minutes away from Suiattle River Road, Mountain Loop Hwy, and the North Mountain biking trail system, it is the perfect spot to gear up for your next adventure. And when your day is done relax in the hot tub while looking up at the the alpine meadows and listening to the local wildlife.

Our farm cottage is the original 1920 farmhouse. It has been fully renovated keeping the charming small farmhouse feeling with covered porches and a majestic mountain view. Restored from the early 1900's. This cozy cabin sits right above the Howard Miller Steelhead Park on the Skagit River. The Rockport Bar and Grill is next door. We are just a minute off of highway 20, also known as The North Cascade Highway. There is a Futon for an extra guest. We now have air conditioning! This listing is not wheelchair accessible. This listing is also not suitable for children under the age of 12, there are safety issues in the area.

Cozy A-Frame in North Cascade Mountains

Winedown is a beautiful, constructed A-Frame built in 1967 and completely renovated in 2019 tucked in the North Cascades. As dawn turns to daybreak, there’s nothing more pleasant than being drawn from slumber by the sun light springing through the floor-to-ceiling glass windows and the sound of gushing water from Boulder Creek echoing through each surface of the property. Winedown is proudly a family-focused property that is scent and shoe free.

Sauk Valley homestead in the North Cascades

This is a great spot to decompress from society and heal. The cabin is centrally located on some acreage with me on-site off State route 20. There's hiking destinations in every direction! I'm happy to be a sort of tour guide and provide info on special places to see and where to eat and drink if you'd like.
