We had a fantastic weekend stay in this lovely little gem of a place, the scenery & peaceful surroundings really made it, the hot tub was a definite bonus. The local pubs were very friendly & fantastic food. I would highly recommend this place & can't wait to come back again.

We had a wonderful long weekend away here staying for 2 nights. Fantastic hosts, they had already started to heat the hot tub for our arrival which was lovely (just a warning it does take around 3 hours to heat up!). The views are stunning and very peaceful, lovely sitting outside with a book. The bed was so comfortable and we had the best nights sleep we’ve had in a long time! Would recommend x

A great place to stay as we were visiting the Royal Welsh Showground at Builth Wells. The accommodation was extremely clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay.

If you are looking for someone to escape to with the peace and tranquility of the countrywide with just a sprinkling of natural farm noise - this is the place to be. We had a really relaxing few days here and Rosalind was very helpful and in hand if you need anything. We always had a friendly greeting from the 3 dogs who would be delighted with a belly scratch. Loved it here.

This was our third stay at Paul’s shepherds hut. It’s the lost wonderful escape! If you’re craving an escape with tranquility, peace and quiet, then this is the place for you. At night all you can hear is the gentle tinkle of the stream and the hooting of owls. In the morning, if you head outside, dawn chorus is amazing. Our dog absolutely loves it here too. He has so much secure space to roam he is so happy exploring. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

The hut and the tub was exactly what we were looking for. We will be recommending it to friends and family and had the most wonderful weekend!

Overall, accommodation was great and everything went well. Things that I would like to point out. List of amenities these things are not correct. 1. Carbon monoxide alarm for the fireplace. The bedroom is not operational which is a hazard. 2. Coffee machine was not there. We asked and we were kindly given a jar instant coffee. 3. Outdoor to dining area doesn't exist. there is ourdoor furniture but not a dining area. 4. Outdoor kitchen doesn't exist either. They are correct, there is a BBQ as mentioned on the amenities , but that is not a outdoor kitchen. 5. I understand there is no Wi-Fi available. Which would I was okay with as I have 50GB of data. What I was not aware is that the location is in a virtually a signal dead zone there was one spot that we had to go to , if we wanted to receive our Whats-App messages. I would see this as an important thing to mention to people. Lastly , we had the lovely couple who lived at the corner who were available when we needed to ask questions.

My partner, our dog and I had a wonderful 3 nights at Graham and Pip's Shephard huts. The views were spectacular and exactly what we were expecting from the listing! The bedroom was extremely cosy, especially when we had the log burner going and we were sat reading our books drinking tea. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a delicious loaf of homemade bread, and the bathroom was super clean; the shower was a real warm treat after a day of walking in the rain! There are some lovely walks accessible from the huts, if you don't want to travel too far out. Also, I promise that if you weren't a fan of bird watching (or listening) before, you definitely will be after your stay! Thank you Pip and Graham for providing us with the perfect retreat to nature we both strongly craved to escape the stressful 9-5 working life. We would 100% recommend to anyone wanting to switch off from their phones, and connect a bit more with the nature around us.

We had a fantastic stay. The enclosed garden was great for our dog and the views were amazing. The Hut was equipped with everything you’d need with plenty of towels and always plenty of hot water. The Hot Tub was perfect. Would highly recommend and will definitely book again.

Wow, what a place! 10/10 for everything! The location was amazing, beautiful views and the only neighbours were the cute sheep! A perfect place to escape, switch off and enjoy nature. The hut had everything you needed and was in the best location for walks. Would recommend to anyone! Can’t wait to come back. Catherine was a lovely host and made everything perfect for us. I stayed here for 3 nights & it was absolute perfection. It was incredibly clean, cozy, peaceful & extremely dog friendly. The location couldn’t have been better for all the hikes I had planned in the peaks. I only wish I could have stayed longer & I absolutely will next time. The host is also very responsive & accommodating. 10/10, highly recommend!

My daughter and I had really lovely stay at Shepherd's Rest. We loved everything about it from the charming little hut to the peaceful setting. We loved the hot tub, and the visits from the gorgeous labradors. My daughter adored them and looked out for them each day. We will definitely be back. Thank you!

Perfect shepherd’s hut - our favourite we have been to! There is a designated parking spot and you are greeted by a group of lovely friendly chickens. Tess sent very clear and useful directions beforehand so was easy to find. The hut has a fully equipped bathroom, kitchen area with microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge and hob, and a really comfy bed with a tv. The view from the hut is stunning and we felt so at peace and relaxed here. Tess gave us a tour of the farm which we loved, and also kindly provided eggs, milk, butter and bread. We had an immaculate night’s sleep and recharged our batteries here. Highly recommend and would stay again!

We had the most amazing stay celebrating our little girl’s first birthday at this beautiful shepherd’s hut! Jill was so lovely and welcoming, she greeted us personally and even left a gorgeous hamper for us, which was such a thoughtful surprise. The hut was cozy, peaceful, and perfect for a relaxing break. Our daughter loved every minute of her birthday holiday. One day, we took a scenic drive to Alton Towers—it's not far at all and made for a fun day out. After a day of walking and exploring, the hot tub was the perfect way to relax, and we also enjoyed a delicious dinner at The Old Hall nearby. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to make memories, and we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend! Stacey, Joe & Baby Olive xx

Absolutely blown away by how beautiful the nest was! So clean and comfortable, could not fault it. Lucy and Dan were always on hand and made sure we had everything we needed. Surroundings were amazing and would highly recommend this for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

The cabin was roomy, warm and cosy. Just what we wanted after a long wet bike ride. Private and peaceful, friendly and accommodating. A perfect stay for a long weekend. We also had leaping new born lambs for ring side entertainment. What more could you ask for?!

Absolutely incredible place. Cannot fault any aspect of it. The view is stunning, the place itself has everything you need, every detail has been thought of. The hot tub was beautifully clean and far enough away from other huts that you don’t feel a lack of privacy. Would highly recommend and really hope to return soon. Thank you

Absolutely lovely stay! Rachel was a brilliant host and would reply to any messages straight away. The location was amazing and private, in a really good location & had gorgeous views. Really comfy bed, has everything you need. Also love the idea of no WiFi !

The hut was just what we had hoped for! Peaceful, cosy and with a great hot tub! Mike was friendly, helpful and quick to respond. The view from the hut is glorious and we slept like logs!!!

The hut was stunning, with a private hot tub. The location was great for both walks and drives, with lots of places to eat and farm shops nearby. The hosts communicated well about everything. Alton towers was also extremely close, which was convenient.

Aly’s hut is just a dream. Absolutely beautiful surroundings, I went for a little peaceful weekend alone and it was just perfect. I sat on the bench watching the mist move through the valley below, walked to the stream in the forest and read my books. The hut is so cosy and welcoming and I felt completely comfortable and safe. I will definitely be back as soon as I am able to. Thank you for a wonderful, peaceful stay.

We had the most wonderful stay! The location is idealic. Perfect location if you want country hikes and exploring in the day and relaxing in the hot tub of the evening. There's an abundance of beautiful walks on the doorstep. The hut itself was perfect, absolutely pristine and had all of the amenities needed to feel like we were at a home away from home. Even down to treats and a water bowl for our dog. Jane was so welcoming, offering recommendations for activities for our visit. Very attentive and on the end of the phone if we needed anything. We would highly recommend staying here!

Great location in a beautifully fitted out cabin. Perfect for a short 15mins walk to the Crawford Arms to watch some live music. Thanks very much Jack. We will definitely be visiting again.
