Rosemary cottage is one of three cabins which rest on the edge of a lake in the heart of the Banhoek conservancy. It is a light filled, modern cabin with a wood fired hot tub, direct access to endless hiking and the finest mountain biking trails in the western cape. Although it is intended as a two person cabin, there is an open queen sized pod attached to the living room which can sleep 2 children or an extra guest for a small extra fee. There is an infrared sauna below the dam for you to use.

The Cottage is completely off grid, with fresh water coming off the mountain and energy from the sun. The cottage is built from local materials - stone walls, reed ceilings, blue gum supports. There are glass doors and windows throughout the cottage. The cottage has a beautiful open-plan bedroom and bathroom. The bathroom includes a tub, a toilet and a basin.

My place is walking distance (2.5km) from the center of the historic town of Stellenbosch and very close to grocery and take away food stores (700m). Stellenbosch is surrounded many wine farms where wine tasting is welcomed. We stock fantastic plunger coffee for your use, we also supply 250ml full cream milk, celon tea, rooibos. My family lives here, you could pop in to ask about recommended places to visit. With a barbecue on request, in a private garden, in the shady corner of the property
