We stayed here this week with my sister and family and there was ample room for us all, we LOVED having loads of bathrooms and a huge kitchen and the pigs, peacock and chickens outside the kitchen window were a constant source of entertainment for the kids (and our dog!). The setting is beautiful. It’s so peaceful with gorgeous views over the countryside. We will be back next year!

Back from a 4 night stay at Callow Barn. An outstanding property, immaculate and very spacious with the most spectacular views across the valley. Very well equipped and comfortable. We loved the rural setting,watching the lambs play and pheasant visits. Even saw a deer. The host is very helpful and informative. My friends and I agree that this is our favourite property that we have stayed.The area is stunning,so much to see and do without traveling miles.

We had a great stay here. The place is lovely and matches the photos on the listing. Stephen was a great host and responded really quickly to resolve a minor problem. Would happily stay here again.

A lovely quiet location as a base to explore the Derbyshire Dales. The cottage is very cosy with everything you could want for your stay. Lots of walks right from the front door, including the Tissington Trail that takes you into Ashbourne, and a pub just minutes away on foot. Would definitely recommend.

We had a great stay at this lovely cottage located on a peaceful farm. The surroundings are breathtaking, with mesmerizing, picturesque views in every direction. It felt like a perfect countryside escape, far from the rush of everyday life. Our host was brilliant—warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. They made sure we had everything we needed and offered helpful tips about the area.

Surprisingly easy to find, Emily's cottage is a lovely place with beautiful views. It was fully prepared for our arrival. We arrived very late due to delays but the contactless check in was smooth and the lovely hosts stayed in touch all the while. The property sleeps five but it felt cosy for our party of four (2 adults and 2 teenagers), but should be fine for a single family with little ones or couples. The location of the property is really good for walks and close to Thor's cave, but given the terrain the roads are narrow and you wouldn't want to be driving to and fro many times a day. This is true for most areas in the peak district. The was plenty of information available at be the property and the hosts were extremely responsive so guests won't be stuck for anything. All in all, it was a really nice stay!

We loved our stay here! It was the perfect peaceful getaway spot for a couple looking for some respite from the city. Plenty of hikes nearby, pubs to choose from and beautiful surroundings. Linda was really responsive and helpful and the barn had everything we needed, really comfy and cosy! We’ll be back for sure.

Lovely clean gorgeous barn, ideal location with everything we needed to spend the weekend without leaving but equally we enjoyed walking to two local pubs. Adam communicated well and was accommodating to our needs. Perfect weekend break

The perfect cosy place to stay to explore the Peak District. The barn is a lovely clean space with all of the amenities you could needed. It’s in the most beautiful location with shops close by for any essentials.

Fantastic place. We were very lucky with the weather so having breakfast in the lovely garden with the great views was a real treat. If you like walking, it couldn’t be better located. A steep walk up the hill across the road from the cottage gets you on to the ridge and gives you access to any walk you like- great ridge, Mam Tor, Edale, Jacob’s Ladder, Kinder Scout and the Pennine Way- we didn’t have to drive the car at all and walked each day from the cottage. Had a wonderful meal at the Old Hall Inn at Chinley.

I stayed here for 3 nights & it was absolute perfection. It was incredibly clean, cozy, peaceful & extremely dog friendly. The location couldn’t have been better for all the hikes I had planned in the peaks. I only wish I could have stayed longer & I absolutely will next time. The host is also very responsive & accommodating. 10/10, highly recommend!

Once we found the farm, we were amazed by the views and the peaceful surroundings. Inside the lodge it was perfectly decorated, made to feel extremely cozy and space is utilised well. Elizabeth communicated well with us throughout and was very helpful with local recommendations for the area. The best part was definitely spending the evenings sat outside next to the fire pit, enjoying the animals and scenery around. I would highly recommend staying here.

Thank you for a lovely stay in the Garden Nook. Great location for exploring the Peak District. Everything was spotlessly clean, amazing views, great decor and very comfortable. Lovely to see all the spring lambs running around.

We had a wonderful stay here! Everywhere was clean and the staff were so friendly and accommodating! Our daughter loved it, the tearoom and animals there was an added bonus! Thankyou for a lovely stay!

Nice place- great fire, plenty of fuel. Comfy bed. Nice village with good pub -King’s Head, with good food. Good walking nearby.

Lovely place and great hot tub. We particuarly appreciated the recommendations of pubs and things to do in the local area. A really lovely spot to start some hikes from, would recommend.

Had a superb Easter weekend stay in the Peaks. Dominic and family were very welcoming and made us feel at home with great local recommendations. Will be back for another stay I'm sure.

Perfect place for our family gathering. Beds super comfy and so many pillows and towels - really appreciated. Comfy living room with wood/coal fire to warm you up. Kitchen well stocked. The grounds with the mini football pitch surrounded by blossom and lambs was really idyllic. All enclosed so the kids could play safely. Great value for money and really homely - we would love to go back.

Peaceful, relaxing, removed but not remote, 40 minutes but home but felt like a proper little holiday. There were instructions on how to care for the property so you don't damage anything, and recommendations for places to go / things to see. I'd suggest my own for future visitors, Maxey's Farm Shop. This was a lovely place as a home base for adventures and relaxing afterwards, we will be bearing it in mind for future short breaks.

Beautiful surroundings in a beautiful cottage, hosted by lovely Denise and Dave, had a very peaceful and nurturing stay. The attention to detail was so very much appreciated from the eggs,milk, orange juice and bread on arrival through to the luxurious John Lewis bedding on the biggest bed ive ever slept on, it all was a joy. Thank you so very much indeed for such a great stay, hope to be back soon.

Paul is a great host and was very accommodating. This is a great accommodation with everything you need for a lovely family retreat. Rented both cottages for a large group. Plenty of indoor and outdoor space for the children to play and lots of privacy with beautiful views. Amenities close by and a just a short drive to Alton Towers. A great place to stay.
