Khaya Mandevu is a quirky old farmhouse from the 1920’s, situated on a fish farm in mountainous and malaria-free Schoemanskloof. A covered verandah overlooks a dam below, there's a small dip pool for cooling off and a beautiful stretch of river close by with huge Matumi trees. Marked hiking trails extend from river to mountain top, with indigenous forest in 2 gorges, waterfalls, cascades, and archaeological sites to explore. Ideal for nature lovers, birders, tree and history enthusiasts.

The house is centrally located and is within easy walking distance to the main attractions. It has its own fenced off garden and is situated in a small estate with 3 other houses.
