The Griffin is a functioning riverboat, driven by paddle wheels, originally modeled after historic Mississippi steamboats. It is located at a mom and pop boat yard, which is quite different from a fancy marina. Work happens here. Metal is welded here. Engines are torn apart and put back together here. Large open family room with fireplace, kitchen, dining, sunroom. Complete kitchen including dishes, silverware, wine glasses, blender, coffee grinder, dishwasher. Large deck with table, chairs and gas grill. Upper level game room with ping pong, darts, Wii video games, pinball. Fun for everyone!

Riverwood Hideaway

This OFF-GRID, solar powered hideaway is on the Knife River just a few miles outside of Two Harbors, Minnesota. THERE IS NO RUNNING WATER and LIMITED ELECTRICITY. WE DO HAVE WI-FI. The kitchen has a propane refrigerator and gas oven/stove. Solar power is used for lights and some outlets. Propane fireplace / furnace for heat. The "bathroom" is an outhouse. You bring jugs of drinking water. Hand and dish wash water provided. We supply coffee with pour over utensils, dishes, spices and firewood.

A unique, octagon, cedar log cabin, situated on 40 secluded wooded acres. A short hike over the Sucker River on a storybook foot bridge to a generous deck which surrounds the cabin. You will need to be physically fit to stay here. You must climb a steep ladder to the loft and do a 2ft step to get off the deck to the marshy land below for making a fire. Also bring a sense of adventure! Wildlife is very near. We do not allow animals or smoking of any kind, sorry.
