We booked this location to stay during my sister’s wedding weekend and had a fantastic experience. Very clean and great location.

We have stayed in a LOT of Airbnbs before and this one took the cake, by far. The house had EVERYTHING you could think of. It was fully stocked - and not just with average items - but higher end items. The linens felt like a fancy hotel. The bathrooms were stocked with amenities. The kitchen had every gadget you could possibly need -- the knives were sharp, there were plenty of nice pans & pots, etc etc. It felt like someone lived there full time and was just letting us borrow it for a few days. Not a speck of dust or dirt anywhere. The first couple of days of our stay were rainy - but we were perfectly content relaxing inside. The fooseball table and provided games were loved by all --- the views are spectacular. My daughter even saw an otter at the bottom of the yard in the water. This was just the perfect place for a girl's weekend to celebrate my Mom's 70th birthday! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

We use this for our pastors annual retreat and it provided plenty of room for them to gather and also spaces for them to find solitude when necessary and also provide a great community space outside which they really enjoyed

My son and I now have a new favorite fishing getaway. We absolutely loved Eunice's cottage and how easy it was to get out and fish all day. Kayaks, canoe, and a fishing pole were provided, and we had the whole pond to ourselves. It was clear how thoughtful and detailed Eunice is simply by how stocked the place was. We had an unexpected fall of out of the canoe 😅, and thankfully detergent was waiting for us in the laundry room. I also forgot a few items for our grilling night, and she had everything I needed. The only thing I wish I had realized the home didn't have before arriving is an oven as we had bright a ready-to-bake Papa Murphy's pizza. 🤦‍♂️ But, we improvised by grilling it instead, and it was delicious.! Just the absolute perfect place for a father-son weekend excursion. We cannot WAIT to come back and keep catching more fish!

My sister and I rented the Rabbit Hole during Thanksgiving week. Our families had the best time and would love to return next Summer when we can enjoy Hyco Lake. Heather, the host, was very responsive and checked on us throughout our stay. We cooked a big Thanksgiving dinner and the kitchen was perfect. We had everything we needed. We loved waking up each morning to the beautiful views from every floor. The kids loved the game room and the bunkbed room. The house is beautifully decorated and quite cozy, and far exceeded our expectations. Thank you Heather and family for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Great house! If you have a big group, 2 bunkbeds on the lower level, King size bed on lower level, both share one bathroom. Queen size bed on main level with its own bathroom. Property is gorgeous, just a hair too far for me to VIR. But on a positive note got to see some great country side going back and forth. Wish it had been warmer and not rainy to hang out on the porch or take advantage of fire pit. Host was proactive with check in and out information, no issues at all....great property a little tight in the kitchen for a large group of people but we figured it out...Thank you so much for giving us a warm, dry, and clean place to stay.

The lake house was a beautiful property in a quiet, peaceful, location with a ton of amenities. Not only will my family and I be returning but I also told other friends and family about this gem, We will have many more trips planned in the future and this will be our new getaway spot when visiting our family down south. Everything about this property was amazing and I cant wait to come back. I highly recommend staying at this amazing property.

My family had a wonderful time at this house! It had everything you need! We went to an event at VIR and it was a quick 15 minute drive. The house had easy access to the lake, kayak, stand up paddleboards, games, etc. The beds were very comfortable which was great after a long day fishing and paddling! The kitchen was well stocked too. I think the only thing one might need is life jackets for weights between 50-90lbs. Also make sure to bring a net to scoop up the big catfish you will catch on the dock!! We will absolutely stay at this house again on our next trip to Hyco Lake.

We had a great time paddle boarding the lake and chilling on the screened porch. Went out for drinks to buoys to break up the stay.

A serene, relaxing setting right on the lake. Comfortable, clean accomodations. The hostess went above and beyond to make our stay the best possible. Every detail was attended to. Would definitely go back.

great place if you are the outdoors type. beautiful surroundings, lake is right there you can catch fish right off the dock. very secluded, private and plenty of woods. keep in mind it is North Carolina, and it's not flat ground. so there is a lot of hills, but it was a great stay for me. the host is great, and very responsive if you need anything.

Very nice please , quickly responded to questions and to extending our stay. Second time there , will stay again.

Had a great weekend at the cabin. We have rented a few cabins on hyco lake and this location was probably our favorite. Fishing was fantastic and we found a resturant nearby that was, a little pricy, but amazing steak. It was the closest steak house when you google "steak near me". We spent hours down at the dock house and when inside the cabin, the coffee bar and couch called my name often lol.

We had such a wonderful time at Janes’s house! The decor was beautifully curated, and such a fun vibe. We loved the bedding it was clean and felt like a fancy hotel. All of the extra little amenities were very appreciated, we played a great card game in the shed/hangout room and we enjoyed a fire in the fire pit. We really appreciated being made to feel so welcome! Highly recommend

Absolutely beautiful setting for morning coffee and an evening fire, felt rested and re-charged after a quick one-night getaway. Especially impressed with the small but well-equipped kitchen. Would absolutely come back!

This is a great place to just decompress...beautiful setup, would be perfect if you could have another couple stay as well but great place ..Def coming back

We only had a short getaway for my mother and I. It was beautiful and relaxing! The home had amazing views from all of the windows. It is very well stocked and has everything you would need while away from home. Tanger outlets aren’t far and a nice place to go shopping. We didn’t get to do much outside because of the weather but there were games and we were very content with enjoying the property from just the house. Honestly, I don’t think the pictures do it justice. It is way larger than it appears in the photos. There is only one thing I would suggest - a pair of binoculars. My mother and I both wished we had a pair while we were there to look out at the wildlife in the distance.

What a gorgeous place to visit! The views are gorgeous and the area is very peaceful and private. The home was spotless and comfortable and had everything we needed, including some goodies to get us started while we settled in. The host even provided plenty of wood for the fireplace, fire pit and pizza oven! She was very responsive and super friendly! Within 20 minutes of the home are several little towns that have grocers, fast food and a few other dining options. We will definitely consider returning to this lovely home!
